Fantasy Football - Dynasty League Feeler

So a buddy and I are looking at putting together a Fantasy Football dynasty league. For those unfamiliar this is a persistent league where every team keeps all of their players year after year. We're still working through what the fee would be, prizes, and specific rules but I wanted to throw a feeler out there to see who if anyone would be interested in joining. We're looking for people that would be committed to playing and being active in the league long term year after year. I'll get some more details posted up as we have them.

Once the rules get figured I'd be curious. I'd be more into a more in depth keeper league (multiple players, like 2-4), and would really prefer a year one auction, with drafts the following years. I usually have 3-6 money leauges + fan dueal rocking so I'm alwasy interested in something more. A draft day followed by a poker party would be epic.

Fair enough - I love the Dynasty concept since it is far more important to make good decisions and the long-term viability of players becomes far more important. Gets you much closer to the GM / Owner role of an NFL team. But you need to have a group of people that are active and willing to play year after year for it to really work well.

And I was already thinking Draft + Poker party AJ lol so we'll see.

I'm in a handful of leagues every year, though those are all non-keeper snake auction so this would be something different. Consider me interested if we get enough people.

$25 or less would be nice.

you can't do a good league like a keeper or more for $25 or less JT... ;) Let's at least up it to $26 or $27. Seriously though the more at stake the more I enjoy it. But I also probably bet on football WAY more than anyone else on this site.

Yeah, when you're a Vikings fan you tend not to risk as much...

It'll largely depend on where we decide to host the league, the cost for that and how much we want for a prize pool.

CBSSportsLine which is where we are strongly considering going is $150/year for the league which we would split between the teams, then whatever we need for a prize pool, I'd think around $20 per person, so that could look like $30-40/year depending on how many teams we have.

Or when you aren't really a football fan at all...but fantasy leagues can be fun...especially when you get lucky and win...right Picklz :p Although, I wonder at the end how many people were really paying attention last year.

Definitely interested, but have a lot of $$$ tied up in current dynasty leagues. Depending on price point, rules, and the promise of A.P. I'm in :p

Just a heads up, we're strongly looking at going with MFL (my fantasy league) due to features, reviews, and cost. We're vetting it out right now but if that ends up being the route the cost of the league will be pretty reasonable. We're leaning towards approximately $30 per team - If we had 10 teams it would be $7 going towards league fee and $23 per team going to prize pool, more or less will effect that a little.

We're also working through draft types, if we're going to do any sort of contracts or salary caps, etc. - leaning very strongly towards doing an auction style draft though.

Auction is usually the first year and then draft based on finishing status the next years to fill rosters - salary caps and such are nice additions. I'd really like to see something like this, with 10 teams, hit the $50 mark, start with a $500 yearly prize pool, but that's just me.

I could see us building into a larger prize pool as time goes on - but we would like to keep it reasonable to start with, something like the first 2-3 seasons to get everyone established and then look at if we want to increase the prize pool.

Correct on auction that would only be for year 1. With draft picks awarded on previous year performance, trading of picks, etc.

Salary cap or contracts + contract year caps and other such things are still being evaluated but I'm all ears to what people like.
