Yesterday evening around 6:30pm, I left work and was heading south out of Mpls on 35W. Everytime I pass the highway level bus terminals at 46th street, I always think of what a great spot it would be for a cop to hide. This time, as I looked down the bus lane I noticed a State Patrol car sitting...
There is some slop in the drivetrain... just figured there was some wear in the gearbox. I can actually get it make the noise when I shift and let the clutch out quick. A buddy is going to help me pinpoint the sound.
Thanks for the reply, demention7!
Every time I start my car, I get a strange rubber-on-rubber sounding squeak from the vibration of the engine. From what I have heard, the mounts are hydraulic. Is that correct? If so, I should be able to see fluid leaking from it, right?
If I have diagnosed the issue correctly, how difficult...
I wasn't thinking of expanding foam... I was looking at something like this: http://www.autobodytoolmart.com/3m-underseal-rubberized-undercoating-black-08883-p-10786.aspx?gclid=CKeJv9_rgL0CFbQWMgoddUEAjg
Thinking about pulling my interior door panels to install some sound deadening material, like Dynamat or similar. I know that there are also some spray-type sound deadening solutions too.
My goal is to make the interior of my car quieter and hoping it will also help improve the sound quality...
This year, my Blizzak WS70s have been great. Picked them up last year, used, mounted to some 5 spoke alloys, 1000k miles on them. I've been happy with their performance.
Apparently this may have been a stupid question.
I'll likely bring it in to have it checked over, just so I feel better about hitting 75k so fast. LOL.
Removed my Corksport SRI and found that the plastic air director, fastened inside, had come unglued. It was bouncing around inside the cone filter. I'm pretty sure that is what was cause the code to pop. The stock intake is back on for the remainder of the winter but the SRI will go back on in...
My current car is the newest one I have ever owned so I have never dealt with a factory warranty. Upon purchasing the one your car, I chose to pay to extend the factory warranty.
The factory extended warranty goes to 75k miles and has already paid off in the case of my driver seat mechanical...
That will work but unfortunately I do not have access to a scanner.
Did someone draw it by hand? If you can get it scanned to a digital format (at least 300dpi), I can help you out.

Update: Up at the cabin this weekend and the check engine light came on again. I wasn't able to check the code but I am thinking it is the same one. Prior to the weekend, I had experienced some hesitation again, almost like the engine just wasn't getting gas.... and then it kicked in. If I am...
Saw a nice looking blacked out MS3 (gen2?) in the parking lot of my condo complex in Chaska, on Monday night. I was pulling into my garage and the MS3 was sitting there with the engine running.
