Here's my 93 RX-7. I had it imported last year from Japan. I'm selling it because I am pretty clueless when it comes to the rotary engines, and would like to get something that I can work on myself. It was tuned by Jun Performance in Japan. PM me if you're interested and I can send you a complete list of the mods. I had it dynoed before I bought it and have the slips, 406 hp at the wheels.
Here's some pics.

Sorry about some of the pic sizes, apparently I'm having some photobucket issues.

Oh, and i'm starting it at $25k, and would be happy to accept a partial or full trade on a project car. The body and engine don't have to be in perfect shape, but the chassis must be perfect.

I wish I could take credit for her! However, I didn't do any of the mods or bodywork myself. A good buddy of mine moved to Japan and found this beauty at a GREAT price, I just couldn't turn 'er down. I'll tell ya this much, there's alotta rx-7s in LA, but just having a RHD car turns alotta heads!

As far as the registration goes, I wasn't able to register it normally in Cali. I could only get it there as a show car or race car. To be a race car it can't be street legal, so I registered it as a show car. The funny thing is, if it's registered as a show car you can still drive it, just not as a daily driver. How they know if it's your daily driver, I don't know? Here in MN the regs are apparently different, and I'll be able to register it normally as soon as I get my 90 days here to become a "minnesotan"

Good luck if you try doing it yourself, though. I tried going through one of those companies on the internet that imports cars, but the list that they can ship here is real limited without getting the cars federalized, which tacks on another $15-$25k, depending on the car. And most of those cars are auction cars, NO THANK YOU!!! The only reason I was able to do it was cuz my buddy knows a guy who knows a guy who knows a guy that is a supervisor in a shipping yard, and he was able to get it here for me. It's a terribly complex, confusing ordeal. I spent literally hundreds of hours researching, calling people, etc. etc., and so did my buddy in Japan. If you guys want, though, I could probably arrange a couple more cars to be shipped here for you. I can't get you r34s, but just about anything else you could want. Typically, you can get a car like mine or better for around $30k, after shipping, licensing, etc. etc. I got a great deal on mine so it wasn't quite that much.

Geez, I donno. I don't think I've ever heard of one? Probably. Older cars are much easier to get here, if it's older than 25 years you don't have to worry about all the federalization and s**t. I can certainly look into it for you. Do you just want the shell or the complete car, cuz I'm pretty sure the complete car would be much easier to get here, being that shipping is around $2500 to get here and if you had it trucked all the way to MN probably another $500-$800, or you could just drive it here from the coast if it ran.

Something I didn't mention but probably should is whether or not you really want a rhd. It's cool and all, that's the main reason I wanted one from Japan, but it really is weird getting to learn how to drive again, then going to you dd and back again. I would consider myself an average to above average driver, and it took me a couple of months to get my skill levels up to normal. If you're timid at all about it, I'd just recommend buying a lhd.

there are only 3 in the states so thats no good. i would be more than willing to take out a huge loan for that. 1967-1972 are the body style years i want, whenevr oyu have time to ask around for that id be more than greatful, id prefer the shell, it be far less expensive

If I wasn't buying a house I'd have zero questions about buying this. Damn.
