We would be in but this was like the one weekend in August we already had plans, it really IS an awesome time and it's killing me not being able to go. For any newer members or those who just haven't gone in the past I HIGHLY recommend going, it is always a really good time.

Yeah, I think next year I'm going to get the ball rolling earlier so more people can get it on their calenders. I forget how busy schedules can get in the summer.

And just to re-iterate for anyone on the fence... we have plenty of space available for last minute campers!

We are less than two weeks out folks! What else do you guys want to get put together or discuss in advance? Or should we just roll with whatever happens?

I'm scramblin'..........just found out yesterday that my folks can't take the girls for the camping weekend, so we're trying to find anyone else that might be willing and able to take them, but it isn't looking great. I'm pretty pissed about it, because I've been looking forward to this for what....2 months now? We still have a couple of feelers out though, so I'm not giving up hope yet. It's been such a perfect Summer and floating down the river to Lost Falls Campground again would be awesome. Bought a new sweetass cooler a couple of weeks ago for the trip too. It'll be all kinds of fail if we have to bail this close to the event.

Alright guys we are one week out now. Time to work out any final details. I have Friday off so I am open to leaving any time. But if we are leaving as a group I'd like to do it early enough to beat traffic and get there with plenty of daylight... So by like 2 or so. If we meet up in the east metro how does that work for everyone?

How does this Walmart sound as a meeting location? There is also a Gander Mountain right next door, so it's a good spot to pick up any last minute items!

From there it's roughly 2-1/2 hours to the campground. I believe the standard check-in time is 4 or 4:30 there, so if we leave from the wal-mart by 2 we should be golden. Though, I'm pretty sure we got there earlier last year and it was NBD.

Just got back from a long boy scout camping weekend up near Rice Lake. Lets hope we have weather that nice this weekend. Wally world works for us, as long as we don't have to go inside. :) I have a bocce ball, bean bag toss, and that ladder ball toss thing that I could bring.

Looks like they are calling for mid-upper 70s and partly cloudy for the weekend. No mention of rain! Might be a little chilly floating down the river, but oh well.

Nah, the water is so warm you'll be good to go. I, on the other hand, am now officially eff'd. The last hope for someone to take the girls let us know today that it's a no-go. I'm seriously bummed............... We're probably going to end up taking the girls to my folks' cabin, so they can spend some time on the water rather than in the pool and maybe catch some fish. I'm totally jealous of you guys heading to Lost Falls. It's going to be an awesome trip.

Dang that really sucks! Looks like it's going to be a sparsely populated campsite this year.

Still not too late for any last-minute planners to hop on board though :)

I can bring my propane stove for coffee and breakfast making duty. I've also got a little charcoal grill for light duty grilling purposes.
