FNH FNX-9 - came w/ 3 x 17 round mags...shot a few rounds through one a while back and liked it, going to be mainly for range use and for kelsey to have something a bit more powerful than a .22lr to start getting familiar with shooting. Other gun is a Sig 1911-22.What'd you pick up there Picklz?
If we can get a group together, get to bills early some sat or sun morning and get a couple lanes I'm in. The best thing you can you when you get there is ask them which would be good, cost effective guns, to rent and grab two or three in addition to what we bring. I'd have a LC9 and my .22, maybe my AR if it's done. I know others have more.Would anyone be willing to take me and Corey shooting if we pay for ammo and whatever else we need to? We would like to try out a variety of guns before we make our decisions.
You're welcome to try my collection out as well. Includes a 380, 9mm, couple of .45s and an AR. I'd be game for a mnmazda day at the range.Sweet that sounds awesome Matt and AJ. Matt let me know what the summer thing is going to be about. I'll chat with Corey and between all of use hopefully we can get something going.
What kind of 380. I'd definitely be interested in checking that out, as that's one my uncle thought would be particularly good for me.You're welcome to try my collection out as well. Includes a 380, 9mm, couple of .45s and an AR. I'd be game for a mnmazda day at the range.
Well I'm always trying to sell it if that tells you anything. Smith & Wesson Bodygaurd 380. 6+1 capacity. DAO trigger (means each trigger pull cocks the hammer and fires it so it's a long heavy pull.) Integrated laser is nifty, but the thing is so small it's not fun to target practice with. I have someone interested in buying it, so if that happens I may look at a Sig P238 or a Glock 19. Or a .22LR rifle like a Ruger 10/22 or SR22. Or a .22 in a 1911. Argh. Too many choices. What kind of 380. I'd definitely be interested in checking that out, as that's one my uncle thought would be particularly good for me.
1911s are like chips, you can't have just one.Small DAO pistols really annoy me, I get the safety argument for carry but no thanks. I have a sneaking suspicion that I might love the 1911 platform so much that I end up having to buy one in .45 and a new holster lol.
Yeah, that thing looks like a tank! Great to keep things safe, but not especially portable without the wheels. I really like the wide handle, so hauling it around with gloves on is easier, although I typically go with a soft case for greater portability when I go deer hunting anyway. I like the "tankness" of your case though. By throwing a lock on that thing it just might be the small 'gun safe' I've been considering buying. That's the 1750 though, isn't it?Sure is Pete, Pelican 1050, was significantly cheaper @ Amazon vs anywhere locally, free shipping FTW! Only down side I can see is fully loaded it's gonna be HEAVY, price you pay for having a case built like a tank I guess and that's what the wheels are for. Still manageable if I need to carry it though.
Beautiful case and nice job carving out the locations for the firearms.
