Got on it a bit as I went onto the highway just now for lunch and I got a CEL. Also my traction control light is staying on. But its acting funky too. If I give it gas it feels like im giving ti gas and letting off back and fourth... hmm

I'M OFFENDED!
I had that happen once, reset the ECU and it went away. Might be worth bringing in for a reflash though.

Well my alignment went out of wack too. In order to go straight I have the steering wheel to the left about 20º and if I accelerate heavily I really need to crank it to the left to go straight.

Engine mount failing anyone? lol

wow! Definately check under the hood. the alignment shouldn't be off that bad. There have been a couple of threads in m3f about a couple other bolts being loose on our car. Let us know what you find out.

Well my alignment is better but its still not even 95% on a car with 5k. They said the CEL was not on and they couldn't pull a code.

Now heres where it gets fishy.

I called them on Monday trying to get in for the engine mount recall, and was told to call next week becuse they had no parts, nor did they even have instructions on how to replace it. Well when they had my car they said they saw the recall on it and replaced the rubber/bolt on it. They also said the car drove a hell of a lot better after they replaced the bolt than their previous test drive. On the inspection sheet they did not mention what the mount tested at with the torque wrench.

So I get the car back, and it doesn't drive any better than before. lol Maybe I am just picky but it still feels like the engine moves around too much. Shifting is still the same etc. Rear mount maybe?

Oh and the service manager asked if I had an aftermarket BOV on the car "Our tech says it sounds like the car is making funny noises, like it is losing pressure". I told him you can hear the turbo spool, BPV etc now from an aftermarket intake because it doesn't have resonators like the stock airbox to get rid of that sound. He goes "Oh ok" and that was that.. Yeah they don't sound too bright over there....

Maybe try Morries? My recent experience with them was pretty positive, especially with regards to their tolerance of aftermarket parts.

Or if you want, you could always stop by a Checker and borrow their scanner. At least you would know whats going on while you wait to get into another dealer.

So As I understand it if your car is made before november 22 it needs the service. Mine is built in may 07 but on mymazda.com it doesn't list any recalls for me.

I wouldnt avoid them, in fact I will be bringing my car to luther for this TSB.. Since they already have a complaint from me on the rough idle/acceleration/cel and everything. If I went to another dealer im sure the would need to "recreate" the problem.
