Christmas Party

Am in the process of planning to throw a Christmas Party this year, and gauging interest to see of people what to come (to see if it's worth throwing one).

The concept would be to set up the den downstairs to be able to play video games. I have a Wii, and would be willing to borrow a system for other games. This part would need to be planned out what interest may be there for other games.

Upstairs would be a more traditional Christmas party with snacks, non-alcoholic beverages (bring your own alcohol if you wish). If people wanted to do eggnog, I have a recipe I'd like to try.

huh, that tis my birfday, not sure if I'm going to be in town at this point. I'll try and firm up my plans and let you know ASAP if I can make it.

We could probably help on the game side of things. I dont think Erik will let the consoles out of the house though We have all the fun, Rock Band, Guitar Hero, Mario Cart, etc etc

Whether I come or not I can offer my consoles (PS3, Xbox360) and GH:WT / RB2 w/ all the downloads and such I have. Two Guitars. RB2 Drums. I don't think I'll let the Roland drumset go unless I'm there, though.

I totally understand not wanting to ship the Roland set even if you were there! I'm thinking the 12th over the 19th to keep it safely away from Christmas and to split the season. I realize it's a busy time for everyone with parties and other events, but I still am itching to throw one, as I miss helping my mom with the Christmas parties she used to throw.

Good point... either a true white elephant or one with optional few $ purchase so Ax-man raids would be allowed.

Looks like we've got the home tournament that day... so it'll probably be a bit longer of a day for me. I don't recall what time we were out by last year, but I should be able to make it, a bit late possibly.

I think she misread one of your posts. She mentioned to me this morning that you were thinking the 19th, but I don't see that anywhere.

Ahhh... I was sort of debating between the two weekends in the pre-pre-pre-planning stages... but the 19th is the weekend before Christmas and I just thought it was better to be a little farther off that date.
