NARWHAL
That's right folks, it's finally time to get another detail day in before the snow falls and the streets are full of salt. Get a coat of wax on your car to make sure the protection is fresh.
WHERE: Morrie's Mazda in Minnetonka (Linky) (Mapy)
WHEN: Sunday Oct 12, 12noon-4pm.
We will be using Morrie's facility, so it will be indoors. They will be providing their professional equipment for our use. This consists of vacuums, a carpet extractor, and a few buffers. We will also be able to use the carwash and hand wash bay. We will be providing detailing products. Their facility is able to accommodate around 7 cars at a time, on a first come-first served basis. Once you're done detailing, you'll need to move your car outside to make room for someone else.
You are encouraged to bring any detailing equipment that you have as well as any product you'd like to use if you've got something you especially like. It sounds like Morrie's only has a few buffers, so if you have one you could bring to share, we'd be able to get more people working at once.
Just FYI... this will be COMPLETELY free to all members. Morrie's will be supplying Car-Brite professional detailing products. You will have to detail your own vehicle (or bribe someone else to do it for ya, I hear Nate loves Coors Light). There will be a couple Morrie's pros there to give pointers and explain the process.
Another update!
For people who aren't necessarily interested in detailing your car, you are encouraged to come hang out. It sounds like there will be a couple more people from Morrie's there. A guy who runs www.mazdagear.com will be there to promote his site and answer questions about it. Jesse is supposed to be there also, offering up test drives to people interested. We have another potential surprise in the works as well.
Lets get a big showing on this!
MOAR INFO!
As AJ noted a while ago, we will be having a drawing (not raffle) at some point during the day. In addition to the two $50 MAP gift certs, Morrie's is also hooking us up with a Meguiar's product package.
There will also be a race spec Miata there for people to check out!
Note: The poll is just to get a head count of who we can expect to show up.
