Just an FYI - not sure if anyone here has thought of getting their Conceal Carry permit but living social has a deal for 1/2 off a class - $79. These classes are pretty awesome at going over all the things you should/shouldn't do, including legal situations, and you get an hour of range time as well. Looks like they have rental guns for $2-5 + ammo as well if you don't want to bring your own. Disclaimer: The link I posted is a referral link, if enough people buy I get mine for a discount/free. If anyone jumps on this we should try and coordinate our class dates.
For those not sure exactly what this is - Minnesota allows individuals to obtain a permit to carry a firearm on their person. You must pass a class and range test/assessment after which you receiver a certificate, once you have that you fill out an application and jump through a couple hoops and viola, permit to carry. The carry permit also doubles as a permit to purchase a handgun or assault rifle.
