Custom Painted Emblems...

Looks like there is a group buy of sorts going on @ 3forums for custom painted emblems. The base prices are for standard, solid colors in matte or gloss.

EDIT: I guess the group buy is over so I changed the link to just go to the normal pricing page.

Additional options include non-standard colors such as color matched to your car, metalics, etc, clear coating, and two tone combos. There are pictures of the work. I'm planning to pull mine off and send them in, I'll post back some pics when I get them back.

Looks pretty cool and not too horribly priced if you aren't comfortable doing it yourself or you want something other than a solid color.

Huh. Kinda makes me want to hunt down a mazdaspeed and protege badge to have them done in matte black w/clearcoat....

I think in another thread they were offering to come to your house and paint them in your garage, but it ended up being cheaper to just mail the badges to them.

if you don't want to mail your badges in, that guy will buy them for MSRP from his local dealership and paint them and just charge you for all of it.

About the only issue is that you're driving around with no emblems for about a month, because that guy's turnaround suxor.

I sent my badges in about a year ago to have them painted since I don't have time to do it myself. I had to drive around without badges for over a month but I didn't really care. If you decide to go with him, he does a top notch job.

I guess the group buy is over / expired according to the PM I got back from the guy doing the badges. But the price he quoted me on all the badges w/ clear coat and 2 tone still seemed pretty fair, so, I'm going to see about getting some plugs from home depot and removing all of mine to send in.
