CV Boot Repair

I found a tiny tear in my front left CV boot. Where's the best place to take the CV axle to get a new boot installed?

Any shop that does suspension work can do it no problem. But for about $20 in parts and an afternoon of your time, it's a pretty easy job to DIY.

I also get to replace both lower control arms as both the lower ball-joint boots are torn as well. I'm trying to kill some pocket gophers in my yard. I wonder if the little buggers are getting me back.

Why not just use a quick boot? However, with the other repairs, you may be taking enough off for the difference not to matter.

I don't think I'd trust those quick boots as more than a short-term fix, personally.
