As I stated in my intro thread, my car has a fucked engine. I am currently lining up parts to completely rebuild this. I am having trouble finding a crankshaft that's worth a shit for me to risk sending money. I don't want it to have ANY flaws, because it would be worthless.
Does anyone have any info on what it would take to recondition the crank I have now? If it's cheap enough, I'll just do that and get the correct size bearings for it.
And how much does it generally cost to have a flywheel resurfaced too?
I am going to purchase:
-complete gasket set (head, wp seal, cam seals, etc, etc.)
-head studs
-main bearings
-con rods (4)
-pistons and rings (4 & 4)
-oil pump
-clutch
-flywheel (if it's cheaper to get a new one)
Scheduling to get this all done the last weekend of April. Any info on machine work would be awesome!
