HID install on a 6

so i had a thought last night on the way back to school. was i supposed to tap the HID and OE ground together?, and then plug both back into the OE ground. becuse since i pulled the OE low beam ground out, none of my other lights work either, sans my 194 drl's. and i figured out the highbeam icon, for some reason when i have my fog switch 'on' the highbeam icon comes on.
i'm assuming that by pulling the OE low ground out that the ground for ALL the lights is interrupted and thats why the highs and fogs don't currently work.

also, they don't seem to 'shoot' as far as my halogens did. this could be because of A) i didnt do the anti glare mod yet and B) haven't aimed my lights yet.

I'm guessing it's the aiming. I instantly noticed how much farther down the road I could see. I would also recommend NOT doing the anti-glare mod.

Are you using a relay harness, or just plugging the HID ballast straight into the low beam headlight connector?

my kit came with a harness, but didn't think i would need it cuz its a 35w kit. so they are just plugged in.

and i did do the anti glare mod/aimed and my lights are HELLA bright now.

i just moved into a new place and don't have the interwebz :(. i'm going to attempt to solve my other electrical problems when i get my car tinted at AJ's the first weekend of august. (seeing as how an apartment parking lot isn't ideal for working on your car)
