Signed up as well, this should be an interesting little time.

Wow, I never would have imagined there was this much interest for a $45K Hyundai. If I'm going to spend this kind of cash on a vehicle I'd be driving a Mercedes C350 or a Bimmer 330 or a friggin' sweet Lotus or something. The Genesis looks nice enough, but in was expecting it to cost about $10K less.
It is about 10k less, sedan is $33-$38k.

It's the coupe we're really interested in, and that's coming in under 20k running on an old evo engine.

can i go with you as a guest???
you "could" come with as a guest, but I didn't see anything like that on the website when I sign up. Sign up on the website...it took 20 seconds or less, I have not recieved any confermation myself yet and seeing as though this is happening at the end of the week, I'd just sign up online.

If I do get confermation, I'll let you know what it says.

So I went to the event. It took a while to get through, but it was OK in my opinion. You sit in line for a long time waiting to drive the car, then you take out your choice between the V6 or V8 Genesis. I was the only moron who spun the Genesis off the wetpad! Pretty embarassing, but the chick told me to floor it and the traction control would catch...nnnno. I took out the V8 and the interior has all the bells and wistles, car looks great, and it handles like you'd expect a Lexus to drive...very nice car, but not my style.

Then you get to drive either a v6 Cadilac CTS (which sounds great full throttle, or the V8 Merc E class) both if you want!, I just drove the Merc. I liked the firmer seat, but that's about all that was better than the Hyudai.

Best part of the whole deal was right when I was about to leave this dude was driving the Genesis with his wife in the back seat and he took the hard accel/straight and I don't know if he wasn't paying attention, or missed the brake, but he went flying and skidding and tires screaming and almost hit the safety rail. His wife was ready to kill him, it was awesome!

When I got there there was a blue Lotus Elise and a Carrerra S cabriolet, so there were some ritzy cliental...Have fun guys and STOMP THE THROTTLE!
