Interest? Board game night.

Just a thread to gauge interest... would anyone here be interested in getting together for a board game night? We do plenty of Rock Band nights, and a few N64 nights are starting to pop up... what about board games?

I'm thinking more like Risk and Settlers of Catan than Chutes and Ladders, btw. I played a lot of Risk my senior year in college and it was a lot of fun. I've played a little bit of Settlers, enough to know it's pretty fun, but not a ton.

I'd be open to suggestions for other games as well.

Thoughts?

Jay, you sound like my sister... she always hated board games and called them "bored". We can find some board, card, and dice games that will likely also be fun.

P&A? Quarters? Moose? Categories? Thirty one? Sink the ship? Never have I ever? Speed bump? Bullshit? Beeropoly? Beer chess? Caps?

I'm an alcoholic.

I poker'd your mom's skip-bo phase10 times! UNO!

Ahh right, those slipped my mind, I was thinking games with a standard 52-card deck. I'd be in for those as well.

We play a version of phase 10 with regular cards called Shanghai that isn't too hard to learn and a few others in our circle, as others may have family favorites too. Have a card/dice game too. There are also some other fun ones that you can buy pretty cheap (Fluxx...)

I'd be game for some Risk and Uno. :D AJ and I used to play Risk with some friends on the weekends alot. It is a really fun board game. I also love playing Uno with the family. For me it will just depend on when this happens, as I only have a few weeks before the baby will arrive.

I love risk, but it's not a game I see myself playing for one night. That's a game I like to get into and I've played it with people years ago where once game would last several weekends.

Risk would be fun, but with good players, it can go for much longer than one night:coffee:

Monopoly and scrabble are alsways classic choices. Scrabble gets quite interesting when people start drinking:tequilla2:

I may be in depending when and where these would happen. I'm up for almost any game, Fri or sat nights are best in my book. I don't know any of you people yet... but long as you're not all too psycho I think I would survive!
