Just Hit with a virus

Before reinstalling everything on the system, I'd try to boot into safe mode and then run msconfig to see if you can remove the spyware or virus that way. Most of the time it will get everything off without going through all that hassle. After you get things back to normal make sure you have antivirus and spyware software installed and keep them both up to date.

If you're not sure what to do, I'd be happy to stop over sometime and help you get the problem fixed.

Funny thing, this was me running the install file for Adobe Lightroom 2 right off Download.com. I havn't done anything off a torrent site in some time.

Oh well, off to watch some pRon on the desktop!

Considering you were just asking me about where to find serials and cracks I find it hard to believe you got it from download.com.

What are/were you running for antivirus? Do you have active file scanning along with a regularly schedule full system scan? Do you run any adware/spyware programs like Adware and Spybot Search & Destroy regularly?

I was asking for some software I had to DL again that I no longer have. lol. All of which I was picking up off actual company sites now and doing the 30 day trials.

I wasn't running anything at all. No regular scan, nadda. I rarely DL off anywhere but DL.com as of that last year or so when it comes to software. If this came from an MP3 or something off limewire I wouldn't be as surprised, but oh well.
