Have you talked to insurance at all? I suppose they don't cover drunken friends lol. But you should have no problem finding an aftermarket or matching hood for less than what the body shop wants.

I haven't talked to insurance yet. And they said they'd be willing to shell out the repair for me. Still I don't even feel comfortable asking for them to pay, even if it is their fault. It's a strange thing to explain haha.

My question...how good of friends are they? Work out a payment plan...make them pay you for it in full...give them 6 months to do so and put it in writing. If it doesn't work...small claims court...fuck em.

Personal advice...you're trying to be the nice guy to your friends...don't do it. Their fault...they're willing to pay...take it. No reason for you to feel bad about it. I was the same way in the past....it came back to bite me in the ass in the long run. Take what you're owed.

Yeah. We shall see. The night of they were just like "oh, sorry. My bad." then the next morning when they came to their senses they said "I'm really sorry, I'm going to pay for the repair." I did, however went to my car this evening and opened up the hood, then basically tried to pop it out and it worked! Granted there's still somewhat of a crease here and there, but it does look 99.98% better than before. To the untrained eye, it looks like nothing even happened.

Call up your PDR guy from Luther, and have him touch it up.

Lucky there wasnt an extreme crease on the hood. Then a full repair would have been needed.

Make your friends pay for it!!

Well the hood support beams are bent pretty badly. It's going to need to be replaced. If somebody leans on it with on too many lbs then it's going to pop right back.

Take an I O U from your friends, so the next time they purchase a BRAND NEW car, you get to body slam them on their hood :) :jjj2a:
