Hater
Okay, so I reset my ECU to clear a CEL caused by my lack of cats (unhooked negative terminal, and pumped brake pedal to reset). When I hooked the negative terminal back up, everything was fine.... for about 10 seconds. Then the ambers started blinking like the emergency lights were on, and the horn started randomly honking! I pressed the "disarm" button on my security system remote, but nothing happened, so I unhooked the battery again. Tried hooking it back up again, and the same thing happened, so I had no choice but to remove the fuse for the horn.
Anyways, after futzing around for a few minutes I figured out that if I let it go for a minute or so, it'll stop. But once I turn the car to "on" (whether its started or not), there is about a 10 second delay, then the same thing happens, and it doesn't stop until I turn the car off, and the current "cycle" finished up.
WTF is this? I can hear relays clicking like mad under my dash while this is going on, so I'm guessing it's my security system going haywire.... (it's a clarion system that they sell under the UNGO brand) Anybody got any good ideas why this is happenind, or what I'm going to have to do to get this taken care of? As long as I keep the horn fuse removed, and drive around with my ambers on, you can't tell there's anything weird going on(except for the incessant relay clicking), so the car is usable, but this is annoying as hell!
Thanks!
