Looking for a car

I haven't driven either, been in both and like them about equally. As others have said, I'd be nervous about a first year vehicle, and the Fusion hasn't even had it's half year birthday yet. The G37x is currently in a phase out period as they bring in the Q50 which is it's replacement. Sure, the Q50 is going to be better in many ways, especially in regards to fuel economy, but at this point, I'm probably going to wait till the V36 gen fire sales and scoop one up this spring. Of course, the mpg gain may sway me as the old has a rating of 17/25, and the new has a mix mpg of 30 all with the same powah.

As long as I've been shopping for cars, Infiniti has always had fantastic lease rates for the G series.. I'm hoping this trend continues with the Q50.

So this weekend I went looking for an A3 Quattro, not found, just too limited right now. Looked at an A4 but to get to the otpions I wanted I was looking at way too much and the A4 just doesn't lease out hat well.

So off to drive a Regal GS, the higher output Turbo model, and the G37x (which lead me to taking home the G37xS model for abotu 2 hours to show the wife). Both cars drive awesome. I was able to take both cars on the same test drive, hammered on both on the freeway, and took the good frontage roads back around Shelard parkway by Kips (nice curvy hill to test body roll), and then around GE to test how the car feels on shitty roads with pot holes. The GS had a nice turbo whine, sporty fucking car for sure, but I'd get sick of that whine over time and I know the wife would as well. I'd be to prone to mod that thing. The G37x was quiet, contained, yet set you back in the fucking seat when you got on it. 330 hp is on tap to use, and use it you can. The S sport model adds a 7 speed shifter paddle seclection which you can bet I used to really feel the pull of the top rpms. Jana even drove it, and came back with a smile.

Numebrs wise, the Regal isn't good. In a no money down situaiton the Regal is cheaper by $6k, yet cost more per month in the exact same lease format.

So the final decision comes down to The Fusion Titanium 2.0 AWD and G37x. The 2.0 model of the Ford has had no recals and no issues, it's all been the 1.6 models, which is a bit reassuring. Today Jana is going to drive the Fusion again to compare it with the G37xS and we will see what she thinks from there. I'm torn, yet would be happy with either car. Honestly it's decdie what I want to spend as a monthly payment at this point.

I'm assuming you were looking at the 2013 Regal? You should see if you can dig up a 2012. Willing to bet you'd work a solid deal on one and lower your monthly payment accordingly.

They can't lease a 2012, and honestly, it's a great car, but I don't want a FWD car. The RWD basis for the G37x is very appealing itself.

If those are your two choices. I say Infiniti hands down. Mileage sucks overall, but such a great car.
What makes you say hands down, have you driven either? Cause I have, several times, and it's not hands down. It's a $6k price difference in top models that price out differently, yet you would be fucking shocked to see that you get more in the ford than the infinity.

You'll want to auto cross the Infiniti. But I'm also a ford hater. So I would still say the Infiniti.
You hate ford, yet you drive a Mazda (and yes i know the MS6 isn't the same as a 6). Why otherwise

I honestly don't have a super valid reason. And I also wouldn't say I "hate" ford, just not a huge fan. And for the same reason I am not a fan of Honda and Toyota. Although they undoubtedly make great cars (for the most part) they just don't do it for me. There is no excitement. No real wow factor. Which I suppose as you stated earlier, is sort of what your looking for. And from my own experience the build quality is shady at best. And cheap feeling. Although the newest ford I've driven is a 2012 Escape. And I just hate driving that truck. I test drove the newest model focus as well and there are just several cars I would have first. Mazda 3 hatch and Hyundai Veloster come to mind. It's your car in the end though so its your choice obviously. And it might be just me. But I would be one to cough up an extra 6 grand for something that's a little more on the sporty and "luxurious" side that I might not get sick of after a couple years.

I have actually driven a G37x. I have a co-worker who owns one (well ex-coworker as of this week...bought his own liquor store now). The Fusion, no, I haven't driven it. But from everything I have seen and read and my impression of the G37 and love of Infiniti, I'm a little bias.

You keep talking and keep asking, yet you are biased towards the the Fusion...why do you keep talking about it? Why not just get it since you're so set on it? It's like you're either just trying to get everyone on board with the Fusion or you're trying to find some major reason not to get it. Everyone has spoken their opinion and it's your car...just pick one.

I'm not biased to either, i really think they are two great cars and if I had a preference I'd have one parked in the driveway right now.

Welp we nearly changed gears when the wife started thinking Mazda 3 again, but I quickly put reason behind that being a no go. I can say we have made a decision and just finalizing the details. If people can guess what it is I'll give a random person with the full right answer a free Fear no Cone t-shirt. 2 people exlcuded from guessing, you know hwo you are. :) lol

You need the correct color name, make, and full model. And if you find a local link to the actual car I'll give the winner another random shirt.

I'll take a stab... because why not.

Based on your previous posts, it's either a Fusion or a G37. Since you seemed to be ga-ga over the G37xS that you brought home, and even Jana liked it... that will be my guess.

Now for the color... this is pretty much a crap shoot... but your old truck was white, so maybe you like white? I checked the Infiniti car builder and they don't have any mint green cars, but they do have a white.

My guess (correct color name, make, and full model):

Moonlight White, Infiniti, G37 xS

Why would you not what a Mazda 3?! Pretty much the best car ever.
let me know if you say that with a 3 yr old who can kick the back of your seat no matter what the seat position is. Itss a nice car for sure, but I'm so fucking over them it makes my dick hurt.

I didn't say you were wrong, I said I'd give one random person with the right answer the shirt (s). 6 people could have the right answer, and then I'll pull a name from a hat. I can say my car link is still available online. I'll let this go till i can post a pic of it in my driveway in the next couple days.
