i love my rx 7 its all original and wouldnt want to change anything. im looking for a place to remove all the old guts of my radio and add new so that it would sound amazing other than stock. any help or ideas
So, are you looking to replace the original audio equipment with aftermarket stuff, or just with new OEM stuff?
Also, we've got at least a couple people on here who have a knack for stereo installs, and who would be willing to help out with the labor for the price of a few beers.
ha, i want to keep the original look of the stereo but get beter sound out of it, if i could buy beer it would be all good. do you know where i could get a fake ID?
For better audio and stock look - my suggestion is something like a JL Cleansweep or Rockford 3sixty, they're sound processors so you put the audio of your tape deck or whatevers original in to it through its speaker outputs and it can funk around with the sound and then it gives you RCA outputs so you can do aftermarket nice amp and speakers. The 3sixty's also kind enough to give you an rca in put so you could have your iPod wired directly to it...
Google these things if you're interested, I'm not sure what kind of background you have with car stereos...
does it need to have a cassete player? my car only has 2 knobs, 3 fm stations, and 2 am. it doesnt look impresive but thats why i wanna have a really bad ass sound come outta of it.
yeah its what i was looking for, i know what it is. i will hook it up, but not now not even money=(. im working on restoring my car to 100%, and next on my list is a new oil cooler.
I like JL stuff myself, but then i'm biased, cause JL was what I ran on my first big install. Josh liked his 360 fine, but damn the spaghetti monster that it made out of his dash was scary.
