I would say no background... but my major qualm with this is that the cones are VERY wrong. And since it's a miata "autox design". This should be right, IMO.
The first issue is that the pointer cone (on its side) in front of the car is backwards. The pointer cone means you have to go around the other side of the standing cone and it will always be facing top of the cone towards the standing cone.
The layout of the cones in general is also wrong. Based on the pointer cones, the driver would be coming from the left side of the shirt, and staying to that side of all the cones. With no visible cones on the other side, where would be be going? The way it is now, it looks like the driver managed to go WAY around the last two elements, and he's trying (not very hard based on the angle of the wheels) to get back to that front cone?
If you check out this pic you can see what I mean (they chalk the edges of the course to try and keep people on track):

And the cone right in front of the car, IF he makes it, he'll most likely be going the wrong way. Not all cones on an Autox course have pointer cones next to them, most don't. Only ones where there could be confusion about where you need to go do.
I think if you flip the two back cones around, so they point to the right, fix the pointer on the front cone, and maybe scoot it more to the right of the miata, it would look better. This way it looks like the driver came wide around the two back cones (from left around the right side), and is trying to make it back to go around the left side of the cone.
