I'm fairly sure the versions are a bit different, but I don't have fb so I can't tell.

For the energy thing, it's not about regenerating. When you level up, it fills all your stats back up. With max 250 energy, you can earn 300 exp, which is enough to level. So you can continuously do jobs, when you level it fills up again, and you can keep going.

The point scoring is very different. I need fewer energy to make equivalent experience... having a good mastermind and driver improve the relationship as well. For example, one job uses 11 energy and I get 18 experience (a 33% to 50% extra is normal).

Wow, that's really good... most of the "good jobs" is 20% extra... the best job is 18 energy for 22 exp, which is like 22%

We don't have masterminds or drivers either... it seems to be a very basic version of the game.

There are actually a ton of very similar games for the iPhone (to this version anyways), I've played at least 2 others. You either do "missions" or fight people. You can buy weapons, get more "crew" and buy property to earn money. It's a pretty standard game template.

We have that, but then you can accumulate collections and achievements for extra points, and complete mastery of jobs for titles and extra points. You assign members of your mafia to positions to improve stats and you can rob properties as well for money. I prefer just to do jobs and only go after people who won't leave me alone.

As you gain levels, the higher level jobs open up with better experience premiums in the Facebook edition. I just became level 60 last night, so the iPhone version may be similar at that point.
