Metrodome collapsed last night

I was googling this for some pics this morning, and for some reason I didn't get a single hit on any local news websites... it was all sports sites talking about how the game is delayed.

Anyone know if it was designed to collapse like this if it gets overloaded with snow, or if it potentially damages the roof?

This is the 4th time it's happened, though the last time was in 1983. IIRC there shouldn't be (much) permanent damage, they just need to get the snow off then let the roof reinflate.
