I thought he had injectors also, but in any event it's not hard to make gobs of power w/ a supercharged V8.

Add headers, a cam, possibly a plate intercooler, smaller pully, and perhaps some race gas and your talking 500-600whp.

Yeah, I am sure he can clarify exactly what he has. I am just shooting from the hip.

LOL! Is that my exhaust?!?!? Yeah, it has always looked like that. It looked like that when the car was completely stock...it didn't make a difference that I added the TBE and it now smokes. It is all carbon buildup because the ms3 runs so friggen rich. Hopefully we will see some good tuning possibilities out there to minimize the richness. And a dealer that will replace a shitty turbo under warranty.

My mods:

Ported Blower
Smaller upper supercharger pulley
Cat-Back Exhaust
60lb injectors
And just an unshrouded intake

My numbers were low too i had previously made 494 hp and 471 TQ. But i dropped to 475HP and 440TQ...but i was also super lean at MAP dyno....so im taking back to my tuner to figure it out.

All in all it cost about $1,500 to gain 100hp

Mazda has done that for years now. Smart though, as it helps keep them from having to do engine warranty work;) My 89 is the same way. Under full boost it dips down as low as 9.9:1 on the stock fuel maps:eek:

Here is my graph. Mods are listed below in my sig.

I'm not huge into the MS3's, but isn't that graph a little on the low side for your mods? Just curious, as we had a stock 07 MS3 on the MAP dyno last year that put down 260whp with just the MS CAI...

Wich is why I am amazed that these tuners like Cobb can't make power with the MS3s. You would think they could just lean it out and get huge power.

I think its the dyno. Cuz Young Roids stock MS3 put down 247whp 255wtq, I had a worn rear mount and a CAI and put down 255whp/251wtq.

Unless all three of us somehow had the same "low number" problem

I believe someone was telling me that bone stock, on that dyno, people were getting 225whp and 255 wtq. My mods are not that extensive, and I'm still running stock boost, give or take 1 PSI. The car is not tuned, and I'm going to continue to run it as is until P&L can figure out the MS3 computer. Then its hop in the car, drive to Chicago, and get it tuned. Judging by Deegee's numbers with his protune (for an STi), I should be waaayyy higher. Besides...stock MS3s cant smoke like mine...

So i got the cobra fixed...its now running perfect with a 11.5 a/f and it made 485 rwhp and 460TQ...

I was going to get teh Cobb AP for the MS3, but with the recent dyno result of the AP it looks like I am going to be spending that $700 on a lower pulley and a mid-pipe for the cobra which will bring me to 500/500 !

here are the dyno's, note the perfect a/f ratios:

here is the dyno with my original stock dyno graph plotted over it:

I talked to Unichip expert JDMsam and he says a tune will get the dip fixed. So I guess its a FMIC and then a trip to chicago for tuning are my next mods.

He also says that a single runner manifold might not work out well with a Unichip (for future msp unichip owners).
Are you positive that it needs a tune? I went with Deegee to get his STi tuned down in Chicago...and the graph started to dip a little bit when his clutch was starting to go. You might want to have that looked at? Might save you a trip to Chicago and paying for a tune...
