110 HP of FURY!
Could DVD ratings as of late:

Funny People - turned it off about 30 min in, just seems like the phone thing was in the "trying to hard" zone.

2012 - Watched it all but barely. In my eyes it was horrible and WAY over hyped. Just too cheesy.

GI Joe - See Funny People, just ad 30 min to view time.

Inglorious Bastards - havn't finished it, but so far I like it. Some slower parts but it's just enough to keep me waiting for that next "bit" for some laughs.

Watched the Halo: Legends anime. 8 Short stories done Animatrix-style about the Halo storyline. If you're a fan of the game you may like it, it gives some insight about a few key points from the series that you wouldn't normally know, from the Arbiter/Sanghelis to the feud between the ODSTs and the Spartans. If you are a Halo fan or just a fan of Anime in general this is worth checking out.

Watched Surrogates last night, actually enjoyed the movie. Story was simple, yet had a few turns and the ending was fitting.

Saw Gran Torino the other night. Damn good movie. I just hope I can be as much of a grizzled hard-ass as clint eastwood when I'm 130 years old. lol

How to Train your Dragon - for an animated film i was damn impressed. From the texture of the dragons skin to the detail in the flames and the different 'flavors' of fire for each species (not to mention the environments - the ocean & the sky most notably)

9/10 for the simple fact that some of the villager's expressions don't change much. But they got some decent voices for the characters - Gerard Butler, America Ferrara, Craig Ferguson to name a few.

Yeah, I thought that was a pretty good movie too. Not quite as good as many of the Pixar movies, but it was visually a lot of fun to watch, and definitely one of Dreamworks' better offerings.

Have to agree here, he wrote/directed it so it's no surprise but I think it was a perfect role for him an one of the best performances he's had in recent years. Great movie.

I'd heard so many great things about Gran Torino before seeing it, that perhaps my expectations were too high, but I thought it was merely okay. Too stereotypical and trying too hard to send a message IMO.

I'm going to be checking out The Town, Kight and Day, and The Other Guys here soon (probably over the weekend). What else is out there for a good recent movie?

Still haven't watched it, or knight and day. Thought The Other Guys was horrible, and just watched The Social Network the other night, it was ok.

I want to see the social network just because I've heard decent things about it. Watched The Town last night and I was pretty impressed with it. Also watched the new Wall Street - Money Never Sleeps or whatever its called, it was 'okay' - if your into financial stuff it's probably worth a watch, if not your not missing much lol

Just got done watching Ninja Assassin. A decently entertaining popcorn flick, but I was honestly kinda disappointed... it's all CGI and over-the-top effects, but no real style or substance.

Rented "Salt" the other day and I thought it was a solid action flick with some nice variations on the typical theme. Also saw "The Book if Eli" with Denzel Washington and, while it was based in the stereotypical post-apocolyptic wasteland, the lead character was interesting to follow and the ending brought things together nicely while leaving it open to a sequel if there's an audience for it.

Hmm...

The Social Network: Pretty good movie... entertaining etc.
Salt: Excellent action flick with a few great twists and turns.
The Book of Eli: Agree with Pete. Pretty typical post-apocalyptic movie. Some good action stuff, good story line, good ending.
The Town: Good overall movie. I liked the plot and the action was pretty good too.
The Other Guys: It was alright. There were a handful of hearty laughs and the plot was decent, but I just don't really like Will Ferrel as a leading role.
Kick-Ass: Pretty good action flick. Over-the-top, of course... but that's what it's supposed to be.
Knight and Day: Pretty decent, though I liked the next one better.
Killers: Pretty good movie for a rom-com.
