Need help in finding a hit and run driver

Totally blasted. You can't create information where there is none. If there was more resolution, there'd be a better chance that the letters would stand out enough so that software tweaks could pull them out. The plate got washed out because of the reflective coating on it, and the fact the Volvo has HIDs doesn't help.

Gotcha... I didn't really look at the vids carefully myself. Or maybe I've just been reading too many x-ray threads on 4chan >.>

Did you talk to red dragon at all? Maybe they have security cameras. Given it was around midnight, not many places will be open and you can look at security cameras quick to see if they were there at that time.

And if they paid by a credit card, maybe you can at least get a name or tow :p

The Red Dragon doesn't have security cameras. The person at the liquor store where the cameras are took photos over to see if the servers recognized them. They didn't recognize them. :/ It's looking like a lost cause... On Saturday I'm probably going to go down there and see if I can find that car.

That's also a good question... insurance companies have a lot more resources available to them. They may be able to track down the person who hit you and get them to pay up.

My insurance company has had the information for a week and I haven't heard back from them about it. Hopefully they'll pull something off it. Car is getting fixed on the 18th.

Hopefully they can do something with it, though I bet the others who've looked at the full res video are right about pulling the plates. If the insurance company is shelling out 1700$ to fix your car, you can bet they'll at least do some kind of investigation to try and recover their costs.

Gunna go stake the place out tonight?

Well a couple people have looked at the footage and nobody so far has been able to pull off a plate number. They've really only used photo editing software so I'm hoping someone will have access to the stuff the BCA uses. I went to the location last night and it was unbelievably busy and I can see why nobody that works there would recognize them. Car is getting fixed tomorrow. I think this might be a lost cause...
