Sup Allan :)

My names Brandon. I'm actually a DSM guy currently. I talked briefly to a couple of you last week at Porky's. Anyhow thought I'd stop in to say hey, and if anyone sees me again feel free to come say hi.

I've actually had the car up for sale since winter, but no buyers yet. Looking at getting out of the DSM game, and moving on to something with a little more displacement. I've been considering some kinda of FD swap actaully, but it's still so early on in the game that I'm still considering all my options.

Anyhow, just thought I'd stop by and say hi since apparently we might run into each other at Porky's every so often on Wednesdays.

Here's a couple pics of my small arsenal of hoopties :)

91 Tsi AWD - Lots of mods (for sale):

DB Dyno Vid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Slms7K6-Apw
MAP Dyno chart 1 week later (did this simply for comparisons sake to see how much of a difference there was between MAP AWD and DB AWD readings):

And a vid of my best pass to date, this was at BIR at MAP's event last year. At the MPH I'm running, I should be able to shave a few 10ths off yet, guess I'm just not the best pilot haha. Need to improve my 60' times:

06 Saab 9-3 2.0T - stock (for sale):

And for DD and towing duties
03 Envoy (aka 'The Voy')
Mods: HID retrofit, molded/painted running boards, tinted tails, weather tech floor mats

And last but not least (and probably the most fun!)
2006 Bayliner 195 (powered by Chevy V8):

Looking for around 8k or so for the Saab. It's an 06, but has 100k miles. I love the car, but when I bought the boat I needed something that could tow it, so in came the Envoy. Don't have room for all these cars so it has to go. Oh well.

Nice 1g, and a helluva set up in the vehicle department.

No worries on the non-Mazda part...there's a few of us in here :D

Yeah it's 'cornfed'. I converted to E85 3-4 years ago, can't remember exactly when. Then one of my buddies had the GM FlexFuel badge he was going to throw on his car and I thought it was funny. So I did some research and decided I liked the Ford version the best. It was the simplest, cleanest Flex badge out I though. So I went to John's Auto Parts, took a walk through their yard and just yanked it off a Tauras. They didn't charge me. So I got some adhesive tape and slapped it on there :)

As for the Saab, yeah it's nice. Not sure what all you know about the 9-3's, but this is the 2.0T (capital T) model, formerly known as the ARC model. The lower case 2.0t model has a smaller garrett turbo, and the capital 2.0T model has the larger mitsu turbo. Rated as something like 210hp stock. It's FWD. Heated dark grey leather seats, 6 disc changer, HID's, tinted windows. Anyhow, if you truely are interested, just hit me up in a PM or something and I can explain to you all the goods and bads. I don't keep secrets so I will tell you everything I know, good and bad, about it.

Acutally in the pic of the Saab, you can see my buddies FC in my garage :) That's been a fun project. It was a stock non-turbo, but 2 years ago we swapped in a turbo motor. Been pretty fun!

Did you run this weekend? Thought I saw the 1G there.
Yeah I was there. The entire weekend I was struggling to hit my 1-2 shift, so I never really ran a decent time. My best time was an 11.7. But I was still trapping in the 130's so the car still definately has 10's in it with those traps.

So during eliminations Sunday, I ended up just shifting really slow into 2nd the whole time. So it was kind of funny, we'd take off even out of the whole, then the other car would gain a ton of ground while I tried to shift into 2nd, then I'd just chase them down by the end :) That is until we were down to the final 4 cars, and I was paired up against another 1G that was just as fast as me, so I just couldn't chase him down.

Was a blast though!
