Next Big Event??

Hey all, just want to get an idea of what people would like to do for our next big event. I will list out a few ideas we have narrowed it down to and hopefully you folks will vote for what you want to do. Dates and times will be determined once we get the actual event details worked out.

Option #1 = General Cruise (Poker Run) - Basically just as the name states. We would gather a group somewhere locally and take a day long cruise around the state or out of state. Either way, we could make a few stops for photo ops, lunch, fun, etc... At each stop, people would receive a card from the deck, end of the day, the best poker hand would win some type of prize.

Option #2 = BBQ/Drive-In (Woodbury) - Apparently Woodbury still has a drive-in movie theater. We were thinking the pack could again meet up locally somewhere and then head down to the drive-in for the night. We would be able to setup for a BBQ, drinks, and general Tom Foolery at the drive-in.

Option #3 = Beer Tour/Cruise (Leinnie's) - We were talking about meeting up locally in the TCs then taking a cruise down to Eau Claire for the tour through the Leinenkugels facility. Apparently the tour is a lot of fun with some different tasting ops along the way. After the tour, grab some lunch, and prolly head home or drive further if people are up for it.

The ideas are by no means set in stone, so changes can always be made...

I really like the Beer Cruise idea... love me some Leinie's, and I think that would be a fun trip. Although, the BBQ/Drive in is a very very close second for me... Hell, I like all the ideas! Does that help?

Yeah, I like either one of cruises as we havent done a large cruise yet. I would prefer to hit a couple different locations, maybe down south, so I voted #1. I always have a good time heading out in a pack of similar cars. Fun to watch people stare going....what the????

The beer tour would be fun. I have taken the tour a few times and it never gets old. There is also a few other things to do over in Chippewa Falls. There is a park that would make for a few photo opps and pool if it get really hot out. It cost like $2.00 to get in.

Otherwise I was thinking that a cruise to duluth would be fun as well. There are a ton of good places for pics and beer.

We could cruise 95 along the St. Croix which has tons of photo ops and places to eat/drink. If people want to BBQ, you could roll into the state parks near Taylors Falls or something like that.

I travel on Hwy 95 often as my folks live in Scandia directly off 95. I would open to that idea. Plus, we could always stop at my parents house for a different type of photo and some food/beverages if we wanted to. They have a driveway that can hold about 20 cars. Plus, plenty of room on the road.

why not combine one of the cruises with the Woodbury Drive in at the end??? That way you can cruise and have a bbq and see movies. Sounds like double the fun to me!! Thats what we did with the MINI peeps and it was awesome!!!

Hmmm....Now theres an idea. We could have a cruise and movie event. Would be nice for anyone who cant make the cruise, they can meet up for the movie/bbq or visa versa. What do people think about that? Too much event for people to handle or does it sound like fun?

Well, can we roll beer cruise into movie? Not like you can't walk to WI from the Woodbury.

And Jay, if i'm going that fast and I see a cop, i'll keep going. He won't be able to get my plate # at that speed and chances are by the time some other cop can get into the area, i'd be gone. Take them entirely too long to get the ghetto bird airborne anyhow.

I personally think its a great idea to combine the events I would be all about it. I would even leave the MINI at home so I dont ruin the Mazda fun.

I'm in for a cruise for sure and we could end it at the drive-in if people want to.

As far as the beer tour, keep in mind it'll take most of us about 1.5-2 HOURS of freeway driving just to get there. It'd be cool and all, but for a big meet I think the other suggestions work better.

One other option to throw in to the mix...: Cruise to LaCrosse?

That's a long fucking drive, especially because I won't be enjoying any frosty suds.

As for it taking 2 hours? Hah. Pin it and I'll be there in 45 minutes.
