Sun Stroke

Well I spent the entire day Saturday on lake Minnetonka with a couple of friends. It was an absolutely gorgeous day and we sat in the sun and went swimming from about 1:30pm until about 5:30-6pm. Well I went to bed on saturday night and felt fine. But about midway through the day Sunday I started to feel really sick. I had the shivers and then sweats, it was miserable. I feel better today, but my body still feels really run down.

LOL. It was definitely not a hangover. I have never felt like this before. We got an awful lot of sun that day, so thats why I assume it was sun stroke.

You were probably dehydrated as well. That's the worst feeling ever...been there, done that. Now I make a point to take water with me whenever I'm out & about.

Yeah, we did a lot of drinking out on the lake. I didnt drink hardly any water the whole day, but went to bed pretty early that evening. And yes, I did get pretty burnt on my back and shoulders, the rest was pretty well covered in sun screen. I am going to be much more careful next time as I was terribly sick.

sunstroke/heat exhaustion isn't something to f**k around with. You don't want to end up like Korey Stringer or any of these other football players who have died during training camp. Always have something that will hydrate your system and drink that after every few alcoholic drinks, water or green tea would be preferred because they will help cleanse the alcohol & toxins from your body. NEVER drink anything carbonated, that will only make it worse.
