I have one, just not installed yet. My ventpod is FINALLY arriving this week. I can feel the difference, it's definitely an improvement.

Couple Q's though, why do you have to Tee the vacuum line into ports A & B? Just doesn't make sense to me (although I am a n00b).

Oh, and when hooking up the boost gauge, which vacuum line should I tap into? I've heard not to use the same one as the Synapse as it's pretty sensitive. What'd you do?

I used the the same vaccume line but put the tee for the boost gauge a lot closer to the intake mani.

idk why there is two vaccume lines on the synapse. it just works.

After reading the installation manual and browsing a few threads about it, it seems that there are two ports to allow you to fine-tune the response of the BOV. The two ports apply vacuum to to the valve in different ways, and hooking up only one, the other, or both will cause the valve to respond slightly differently.

Interesting, thanks Jay! I've heard you don't need to adjust it either, but I suppose if I ever needed to I could...

Oh and my ventpod is here! My Tee on the Synapse is inches from the BOV, so I can make the boost gauge one much closer to the intake mani like yours Shady. I'll see if I can get that on tonight.

Yeah, they're called recirculation valves or BPV's. Basically the only different is that it has a pipe going from the bov to the pre-turbo section of your intake to muffle the "PSHHH" sound.

It will also not lose meterd air. When you lose that air your/our cars will run even more rich then they do now
BPV=win in the mazda speed3/6
BOV= not as good without EMS

04 Cobra - Go onto youtube and search for videos with Synapse, Forge, HKS, Tial, Greddy, and a few other brands that make BPVs for our cars on MazdaSpeeds to get an idea of the sound.

Also, I know you're completely stock too so you will barely hear a BPV with the stock airbox. If you upgrade that too, you'll really hear the BPV then.

I <3 my Synapse, zero rice.

Nate - did you order the Forge yet? I need to hear that in person...
