This is definitely interesting to me, although I look at a lot more than just salary when it comes to a job. I freely admit that I make less than 50K a year, but I only pay $400 per YEAR for my family's health insurance and it's really good coverage for health, dental, eye care and life insurance for me, my wife and my kids. Parking is $80 per month, which is good and bad. Good compared to other ramps in St. Paul and virtually any ramp in Minneapolis, but more than the free parking available at a lot of businesses outside of the downtown(s). When looking at making a move to a new employer, I can't just look at the salary/hourly wage, because these other things really effect how much I'm truly taking home at the end of the month. I'll have to keep an eye on this site to see if more is said about the whole picture and not just the small peek at the wage and people's opinions of the CEO.

The people's opinions of a company's CEO have so little to do with the work experience of the average Joe as to be completely irrelevant, unless it is a relatively small company. Much more relevant would be the opinion of a middle manager or line of business manager, the benefits package (value of all compensation), how much the company discriminates in favor of parents...

Google is a client of ours, their interview process and a very lenthy one. I would almost bet it's one of the toughest places to get a job in the US these days.

Google Software Engineer - $94k??? What is "Software Engineering" and where do I sign up!?!?!
What I do could be called software engineering. My title here is 'Applications Developer' though.

Unfortunatly I don't make anywhere near that much.
