Hmmm..... too much organizing trouble. We've been talking about this RC thing for awhile, so lets do that today. I'll toss the ribs in the freezer, and we'll make that happen next weekend. Any objections?

I'm going to go make coffee and attempt to break in my motor. I have no idea how to actually mount it since my roomate took it apart. Damn engineers. Being all smart and stuff.
My place should actually be pretty good to meet up for this, since I'm on the ground level we can do testing right out side my apartment and there's alot of grass and road around.

I'll remember to bring that hex head so you can pwn your pinion gear. Jay if you want those servo mounts let me know. I got dope aluminum ones with the kit so the plastic ones are just going to sit there. As for tomorrow..... we will figure that out later. I'm assuming that y'all want to go to el car show.

Also, i'll be there at like noon/noon-thirty

Tom, it's actually one of the mounts on the servo itself that broke--part of the servo's case.

It's okay, I've been meaning to buy one with a bit quicker response for awhile.


I might be down for the car show... I don't know if Nanami had plans for us or not, but I'll figure it out. Colin, what're you up to tomorrow? Maybe we can hit those ribs for lunch or dinner tomorrow... otherwise I'll probably toss em in the freezer and we can do that next weekend.

Josh, I've seen that gif in your sig a millions times, but I still make time at least once a day to sit and watch it all the way through!! My favorite part is him pounding his arms into little stumps... LOL

The sad part is I watch it all the time too.... and its my own sig!

I can't believe it... I thought I found the right hex key to take of my motor's gear and I was walking around on the phone and set it down some where now I can't find it. I am the biggest idiot I know!

edit: Jay quit posting and set the boost to 15 psi and come over and lets start this madness!

I had no idea there were guys on here that were into R/C. I've been racing since I was 12 (roughly 20 years), and currently race at an off-road track down in Hampton. If any of you guys are interested in trying out some racing on a groomed dirt track, we run on Sundays at noon. The track's website is www.thercbarn.com, or you can come check out www.rchobbyhub.com, where I'm a moderator on the site. We've got a bunch of great guys on the site that are always willing to help out with setups, tips, etc.

My current race truck is an XTM X-Cellerator with a Novak GTB brushless esc powering an SS5800 motor with a sintered rotor.

I don't know about racing (we're a bunch of half-asses when it comes to stuff like this....) but if you could give us some leads on good places to go bash around, that'd be super! :D

Oh, and btw guys, I think I may have found a nice place to do some bashing near my place. Some road work that hasn't been touched in awhile--lots of hills and piles of dirt, and a park with a big paved lot right across the street.

You never know...you might take a few laps around the track and be hooked! There are a lot of different skill levels at the track every week.

That's kickass that you're about the RC. Glad to have a guy that knows something about it, since we all just kinda decided we wanted to do RC one weekend.

And Colin, I say get the T4 RS RTR. Great starting point. If I can I am going to go stupid fast and get brushless soon, so I MAY be interested in selling my spare motor and ESC... since I have to get all new stuff if I want to go brushless. We shall have to see though, maybe I can sell some crap and get there.
