I'M OFFENDED!
I believe we just nominated Hayden's home as the venue for this show. This is good. There are a couple of EXCELLENT liquor dispensaries local to Hayden, and we can even make a field trip to the holy land of booze (Also known as Blue Max in Burnsville) if people are interested. Plus he's got a big back yard, and a grill. I saw a couch somewhere in it too in case you need to pass out.

Yeah, you're usually okay cracking open a few beers in a public area, but the event we're talking about might be frowned upon, depending on local rules. Probably need for someone to nominate their driveway/backyard/garage for such a thing.

So- another thing that might be worth trying, for the amusement of ourselves and sort of an offshoot of the beer tasting- the bad beer contest. Everyone brings some of the most vile thing they can come up with. We line them all up, and we start doing shots. Whoever's beer stops the train, wins, or something like that. I heard about this from a guy that worked at the Cellar in Eagan- it's a lot harder than you'd expect. Strangely, the skunkiest, most ancient beer didn't win.... I can tell you how it was won- but that's my secret weapon.

When I said works for me I kinda meant the whole park thing lol. Not sure how fun hosting a beer party is going to be considering I don't drink. Unless other shens take place.

Beer party + public park is a bad idea, you need a private residence or ideally a big garage like AJ said. I would pick one or the other Park Grilling Shens or a beer tasting thing.

I kinda like the bad beer contest. Here's the thing.... bringing cheapass college kid beer is boring. What's interesting is looking for some kind of crazy beer that's trying to be a decent beer but just wallops your taste buds instead.

The difference is, while coors light (or similar) isn't 'great' for flavor, it's not really offensive, it was more of a joke, mixing it in with the hipster beers, see if anyone catches it.

I have no desire to sampe 15 beers that taste like you're licking Jay's Mom's armpit, to each their own though, if there's enough people that think that's a good idea go for it.

AJ, we'll be at the fair Wednesday too. We usually get their around 8:30-9am so the girls can have a little breakfast and go through the kids barn/farm thing on implement hill before the crowds get bad. If Lily is down for the farm thing, we might be able to meet up for that, eh? We usually stick it out until 4-4:30 every year though, so the girls can get their rides in and we can get plenty of walking, shopping and eating done. Fun stuff!

Yeah, we'll be making our way to the farm stuff right away as well. Lilli doesn't care for the rides so we generally grab some fudz and bolt earlier. It's not a bad day and tires Lilli out already.
