TV z bye bye

YSOSLO

is the word, beotch
$80 a month for the TV alone? Does that include other premium packages than basic and extended basic? Seems like more than the rates I've seen for cable.
We have DirectTV, but they charge $5 a month for additional boxes and we have a total of 4 boxes. 2 HD boxes and 2 standard. (Familyroom, Kitchen, master bedroom and spare room that my father-in-law stays in when he visits a couple of months each year)

Comcast finally raised their rates enough for Tier 2 + HD and the boxes that DTV became a better choice, and we get it billed with our other Qwest services as a bundle, so we get an extra discount off the DTV price for that as well. $80 is the normal cost, but will discounts it ends up around $65 or so. We pay $200 a month for our phone pkg, DSL (5Mb), TV and 3 cell phones on the lowest shared plan, so overall it's not too bad (that's with tax and everything included). Ultimately cutting down the TV would be great though and I applaud AJ and Jana for taking that big a step, especially with the inevitable late nights up with the baby (but there's never anything on in the middle of the night on TV no matter how many channels you have...lol).
I'm contemplating ditching our Blockbuster online as well. We pay $17/month for 2 DVDs out at a time, plus unlimited in-store exchanges and a coupon for a free rental every month (in case we're in the mood for something we don't have sitting there waiting to be watched), but we just aren't getting through many movies anymore, so I'm thinking Redbox might be the way to go.

110 HP of FURY!
Well they finally came by and unplugged us, so we now only have 2-22. I don't think we will really miss it all that much to be honest, but I can tell Jana is missing her HGTV. lol

I miss it, but I'm sure after a couple weeks I won't. I'll just have to visit their website more now.
