What are you watching this year?

Just looking at some of the new TV that's out this year, and here is what I'm watching.

Hawaii 5-0 - Really enjoying this new spin on an old series, so far I think it's a fun cast with more than enough to keep you interested.

Undercover Boss - not sure why, but I just love this show. To see that some companies will at least give the impression they care and give back to some people is nice, but it's also cool to see how some of these places operate from the ground up.

Chase - didn't think I'd get into this one, but I've really enjoyed it thus far. Good action with a decent story line each episode.

A few others like Bones, No Ordinary Family, and Boardwalk Empire are on the list, but reply 100% on the dvr for those and if I have to skip it I'm not broken up...

IRT Deadliest roads is some funny and freaky shit as well, loving that.

American Pickers & Swamp People Fawking Rock! lol

Subbing for some shows to put on my netflix queue. I don't have the patience to watch shows week to week, so I prefer to hit up the entire series once it's released.

Jess and I have really liked watching "The Whole Truth." It's a show about a prosecutor(played my Moira Tierney) and a criminal defense attorney (played by the guy that was the doctor on 'Northern Exposure' years ago). The show walks the viewer through both sides of the case and then at the very end, after the verdict has been given, the show reveals what really happened, so you can see if the person was truly guilty or innocent.

I've been watching a lot of stuff on hulu lately.

My top choices, which I've followed for multiple seasons...

Stargate Universe - A new show based in the Stargate universe (the name of the show, nowai), after the original Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis. It's not done by the same people though, sadly. IIRC it's done by the people behind battlestar galactica, but I never watched that show. So far, it's good though. One thing I really liked about the first two SG shows was how they made fun of themselves, they had serious plotlines, but it wasn't too serious all the time. SGU seems like it is.
Chuck - Cool nerdy spy show w/ hot chick... mmmhmm
The Big Bang Theory - Ultra nerd show, also w/ hot chick.
Sons of Anarcy - Show on FX, it's pretty badass. Really solid plotlines.

Terriers - Not older show, but I love pretty much every series FX has premiered. It's got just the right mix of comedy and seriousness, IMO.

Some other new ones I rather like just from watching them online...

Nikita - Who doesn't want to watch a hot chick run around kicking ass? Turns out to be very similar to dollhouse, but it's pretty interesting.
Outsourced - A coworker said it's hilarious, and so far, it is pretty funny.
No Ordinary Family - I thought this show would suck, but I gave it a chance due to Michael Chiklis. So far, it's not too bad.

I've been watching NCIS, Bones, and The Event for new shows. I'm diggin The Event quite a bit. IRT and Deadliest catch are great when they are on. I watched American Pickers for the first time this weekend and that was actually pretty good.

As for old shows, 24 FTW.

I forgot about SoA, great show, I need to watch season 2 yet though. I agree on Outsourced as well, that has been some funny shit so far.

I'm going to have to agree with Jay and update netflix and hulu with this, I need to figure out a better way to get Hulu to our tv.

Not new this year but Modern Family is awesome. Hawaii 5-0 is decent as well.

Otherwise Netflix Suggestions:
Mad Men - Not new but excellent
The IT Crowd - british comedy and it's hilarious
Friday Night Lights - If you haven't watched it you should, most underrated show on TV (available on instant)
Fringe - It is like X-files, but it's also very good.
Entourage - HBO comedy

I love Modern Family! Another very odd, but kind of funny, show is Raising Hope.

Other than that, about the same ones AJ said, except I watch Desperate Housewives, Brothers & Sisters & The Good Wife.

Dexter FTW!!!!!! I was thinking this thread wsas just about new shows. Tosh2.0 and The Soup are a couple of staples for me, as well as The Daily Show and The Colbert Report, mainly because I love the fact that Jon Stewart and I think a lot alike and Colbert will rip on pretty much anyone while keeping a straight face. Jess is all about the 48 Hours Mystery, Dateline and medical miracle/crazy crap shows. Our favorite newer show we always watch together is Parenthood. If you have a wife, kids or a friggin' crazy family, then you might just be convinced the writers are spying on your household...lol

Deadwood and Rome were good shows. But I'm actually kind of glad they stopped them before they got too nuts. Seems like most shows I really get into for about 2-3 seasons or so, but after that they succumb to the need to get so over the top I lose all interest. Nip/Tuck and The Sopranos are perfect examples. I'm really digging Sons of Anarchy, but I'm a little worried that it's going to start going downhill plot-wise =/

I should pick up Season 1 of Deadwood & give it a try...have heard several good reviews on it.
