Well I have a call in to Park Tavern and I need to call back at 4pm and talk to another guy. I'm going to look at Wed night, then Thur night. I've heard good things about Park Tavern, and would like to try them out first.

http://www.parktavern.net/hours/location.html is a bit of info on their location. Sounds like for a few of us in the area, it would be within good driving distance, not sure what JohnnyT or Matt D woudl think as they would be in for a haul I think.

I'll know more about time, cost, and what's even available after 4.

solid choice for people to come hang out there as well.
The have a giant bar area with games(like BWW), also another bar in the back with pool tables.

Post up when you hear back, that's at least a half hour from me either at home or from work. For some reason their website didn't work, but I saw it was in St. Louis Park.

Yeah, that's a great place. JohnnyT, it's off 169 & Hwy 7 (down to Louisana Ave). So it's an ok position.

Two years ago when AJ was on league it was in St Paul & we lived in Otsego. That was about an hour drive every week. So 30 min. isn't that bad. :D

Yeah, I dont mind the Park Tavern at all. Its a close drive for me, which is nice. Not too mention, like others said, its a big place where people could hang out if they wanted to come along.

Park Tavern is a good choice. I was in a work bowling league a few years ago at PT and they were awesome.

After I find out, we should all hit up some lanes some night as a group and see how everyone does and just meet those who haven't met before.

we might even have enough for two teams or is it possible to rotate or something like that?

I would be up for a game. I am going to need some solid warm-up before we get to actual rolling.

Just made a quick call with Park Tavern and it's not really what I'm looking for. They do not have any sanctioned leagues. Just 4 man mixed leagues. $15 a week, includes 3 games, pitcher of beer, and a pizza for the team.

The up side is that it probably wouldn't be hard for us to field 2 teams if people wanted to get in on this since the ladies can join us. I know Jana is interested in bowling during the winter as well to though. So if she wants to do this, I'd be in with her. I'd still like to find a more competitive and sanctioned league though. Sounds like nights are pretty open though, and they fill up fast. If people want to call about the nights and lenth of the season (two things i forgot), call 952-929-6810 and talk to Todd.

Well lets still look for a local competitive league on Wed or Thurs though.

I'm having a tuff time finding them online. I may call Brunswick Zone in Eden Prarie tomorrow unless someone else wants to call a place or two and get a feal?

I've heard some horrifying stories about that place though, I'd love to hear from anyone who's done a league there though.

I can check on Cedarvale. They're a kick-ass place in Eagan if anyone's interested, VERY consistent lanes and is probably right up our "alley."

Feel free to call, I still prefer west of 35w, ut we can always see what comes up.
