Winter is coming!!

Sounds fun as hell, even for those that don't ski or board. I've never done anything like that so I think it would be a blast. I'd have to see if Jana would want to look into having her parent watch Lilli for that time and go with as well.

Skiing/snowboarding...no. I would try snowboarding MAYBE, but I will not ski.

Tubing..maybe...could be fun...breaking Tom's other leg...that's mean, but I'm in anyway.

Hockey...would be fun, but I think most people wouldn't do well skating, let alone with a stick in hand. Broomball is the better choice and I would be down with that.

What would the cost be for this trip, that's my concern. Just putting something together for a days activities, that I can afford...a weekend or even overnight...probably not.

Just by way of example.... Nanami and I stayed in one of these for a long weekend this spring: http://www.lutsenresort.com/lodging/seavillas/

They upgraded us to a two-story townhome, and it was plenty of space for 6 people. They are $260-$340 per night for most of the winter, and have a king master BR + Queen second BR (some have two double beds) + loft with 2-4 beds. Obviously the people with the fancy BR would pay more, so depending on how you broke it down, you'd probably be looking at $40-$80 per night per person.

That's just one option obviously... but it was a nice place to stay and we're definitely looking at going back there at some point.

Other nice thing about something like that too, is that there's free shuttles to the slopes for those who want to do some downhill skiing, plenty of access to trails for cross country skiing, and a place to hang for those who would prefer to sit around the fire and drink all day. lol

So it looks look group rates can be had at spirit mountain in Duluth if we get 15 people together. I know for MNMazda it's a stretch, but i think we can do it! lol

A lot of my friends and I usually go to buck hills morning session. Last years park was pretty dope!
We usually make a few trips to trollhaugen also for that late night session!
