I gotta agree with dmention7, it makes me cry at how much time/effort/money is wasted on the whole "you're either for us or against us" kind of politics we have right now.

And JustRollin has a good point on education as well...We'd rather launch a congessional investigation into Janet Jackson's wardrobe malfunction and waste how many millions of dollars than spend time/money cleaning up a woefully behind the times educational system.

Don't get me wrong, I am all about education, and think that the entire system needs a gigantic overhaul. I look at the experience I had while I was in school and nearly cry. There was no option in my school and many others to pursue what I would have very easily taken as a career. Sure there was Auto classes and whatnot, but they spent two weeks showing you how to change the fucking oil on a Ford Tempo. That is a waste of my time. I think too often these kids that might not be interested in how to sow a sweater, get left behind because there is too much emphasis on equality and all that shit. So you got these kids that spend 6 weeks or whatever in Home Ec HATING life, when you could have the happiest motherfucker on earth re-jetting a Holley or something. The gov't seems to think that the answer to everything is try to make everyone the same, and that just isn't so. With happy youth, you have people that are more prone to their passions and ideals, and less bored left out people looking to buy an SKS and light up Von Maur.

i would also stop nafta,remove us from the UN, and finaly i would station troops along the border between us and mexico. i would support or border agents as well as pardon Ignacio Ramos and Jose Alonso Compean


and we would get osama and manbearpig once and for all...... i supect that they may be the same person anyway

It's nice to see a topic like this not get heated, and people can give their opinion and not get blasted for it.


On one note, what would be the thoughts on the death penalty as a whole. I'd be for a quick firing squad type deal for those 150% guilty of crimes such as rape, murder, ect ect. :D

hehe, I got into about a 10 page debate with a dude on m3f about the death penalty, so I'll just say that in principle I have no problem just killing off those absolutely guilty of the most heinous crimes.... it's just when it gets to defining "absolutely guilty" and "most heinous" that things get sticky.

The mainstream media just wont give this guy the time of day or give him a fair chance because he isnt like all the other typical special interest politicians out there. His PAID campaign team is nothing compared to his following... And hes raising more money with a grassroots campaign than all the other big shots with tons of money.(McCain, Obama, Hillary)

If this is too much of a HJ delete it. He just cured by apathy towards politics. Im a former Bush supporter, this guy is as anti Bush as any democrat...

I'll support it. Even if I don't agree, you have a right. Honestly, I dinno about any of the candidates right now. I like senator McCain (yeah, I know, a Republican. Sue me. First one i've never hated) but I think the more our generation gets involved with politics and giving a shit about who runs their lives the better. If we stay on the same path we're on right now, we're going to end up in a Fahrenheit 451 situation, where every fucking thing on earth is controlled, and if that happens, i'm buying up a bunch of old Buicks and shit and going Mad Max in this motherfucker.

I have no problem with the simple fact that a candidate is a republican (though, as a party they kind of sicken me). In principle at least, there are several conservative philosophies I believe in (smaller gov't in general is one of the core tenets of conservatism), but today's conservatives bear hardly any resemblance to the technical definition. I mean, nobody's gonna argue that the Bush administration is a conservative administration, but his entire presidency has basically been spend expanding government powers instead of limiting them.

Conservatives and republicans today seem more concerned with trying to turn the bible into law and legislating their morality than anything else. That's why 95% of them make me sick. But there are a few (and McCain does strike me as one of them) who isn't weighed down by that BS.
