We have updated to the newest version of the forum. Please let us know if you see any issues. And, yes, we know the shoutbox is gone. We'll see about getting it back if they make a newer version.
They want double or more to install it. It's too much work for tint day though, so it'll just be the tint and I'll deal with the 3M film some other time.
He does, but the ish isn't cheap. I'm left trying to decide if it's worth the cost or if I want to gamble $250 for the pre-cut kit on eBay and do it myself. It's wifey's rig, so I'll probably let her decide.
fyi, I emailed Tein directly about possibly installing 3M film on our rig as well for tint day. Looking at getting the front bumper, hood, fenders and mirrors done. Just waiting on a price to see if it's a 'go' or not.
Yeah, that thing looks like a tank! Great to keep things safe, but not especially portable without the wheels. I really like the wide handle, so hauling it around with gloves on is easier, although I typically go with a soft case for greater portability when I go deer hunting anyway. I like...
I'm in. 2013 Toyota 4Runner fronts, moon roof and perhaps a visor. If I do all of these and I'm there by 9:30am, then I should be good to go for the drawing for the $100, right? The rest of the rig is already tinted and my car is already done, so that's all I've got.
That case looks awesome, Matt! Is that model the one with wheels on one end, so you can drag it along behind you?
I grabbed a couple of these LivingSocial deals last night, so I can go blast some stuff later this Spring or early Summer...
It went up on CL a couple of days ago. No takers yet though. Not exactly a daily search for most guys, I'm guessing. We have a full set of all-season rubber mats for the Pilot on there too. Gotta clear out some crap before Summer.
This thread makes me want to test drive something and waste a bunch of THEIR time and then end the visit with 'Geez, I'd buy this in a heartbeat if you guys didn't make it a habit of luring people up here to sell you their used car and then low-ball them.'
Exactly...sounds like the sales manager at least tried to give you something for your trouble. I doubt the internet sales guy will be around long if he keeps bringing people in all fired up to sell only to discover they're going to be low-balled.
I just use a wide-mouth tool bag for ammo, glasses, ear protection, tape and a stapler to put up targets and choke wrench and chokes. It's a tight fit, but it's also compact vs. carrying around a glorified duffle bag.
Selling my old workbench. I'll have it emptied off soon, but wanted to throw a pic up here quick. It's 6' wide, 2' deep and 5' tall. I'd like $40 for it, since they for for around $100 new and it's in pretty decent shape yet. The drawers both work fine and I don't believe the work surface...
The only thing "DIY" about this was the hours of assembly, but I just picked up this heavy duty sumbitch today at Costco. It's built like a tank and I love the fact that it's on locking casters, so it's easy to move when I want. Time for me to buy the long power strip I posted above and get...
Matt's made some excellent points above. The impression I got as I read through the post above was that Matt approached his career track in a very analytic way. I think everything he mentioned (schooling, networking etc) is important. However for some folks, life doesn't always fall into...
Welcome to the site! If you work with or near Nate, then you must be a "north metro" girl, eh? Our group seems to have some up North and quite a few down South. We used to meet at Porky's on University every week until they tore it down to make way for a train station or something, so we've...
