If its blackish smoke, and smells like burnt oil, then you are in for a new turbo! As long as your car is still under warranty, the dealership should replace it. My smoke was horrible, and stunk up their garage at Morries pretty good. As long as they can reproduce it, you will get a new one. Good luck!Saw some smoking out the back of my exhaust the other day after I fired her up... WTF... Hmm..
Yeah, no more cats on my car. I was throwing the code on and off. When I brought my car in for the new turbo, I threw a "bad cat" code, which the dealership cleared. I've driven the car for about 120 miles since and it hasn't come back on *fingers crossed*. I have seen a thread on mazda247 about sparkplug non-foulers for speedproteges and how that stopped them from throwing that code. Perhaps you could try that? Friggen CELs are annoying...argh....id love to go to a track day and see what she will do! i havent had any turbo problems yet and i havent seen smoke. but its only been on for two weeks. did you do a catdelete on yours? and did your cel come on and shut off?
I want somthing that is gonna have some backing from the mfg behind it. all i need is somthing to clean up my a/f ratios and thats all i should need. plus i got the cp-e unit with the plug and play harness for $575 shipped! if i were to buy just those two things new, it would of been $955. i got those two parts plus the forge wga and the used turbo for $840 shipped all together! smokin deal if i say so!why the cpe-stand back over the cobb ap?
