It might be tough to get the kind of high-quality finish you'd want on badges, but it'd be durable as all getout!

I think the idea would be to find automotive paint that matched the caliper paint, as opposed to using said caliper paint.

Jen you should check other foums online for techniques people have been successful with when they were painting their badges. There's some kind of soak you need to do to get the chrome finish off and stuff. I guess it takes a few days to do, but it turns out nicely and holds up pretty well.

Eh, I tried the whole bleach and peroxide soaks but all I got was a badge encrusted with greenish corrosion.
Well I don't want that! lol

Yea I'll see what I can find. I saw somewhere else that someone just sanded it?? I don't know if just that would it though.

I sanded the hell out of mine. I did it before I had a dremel as well, took quite a bit of time, but I was happy with the finished product. With a dremel tool and a couple sanding wheels, you should get sufficient scuff in no time flat.

Sweet, my dad probably has one I could use. That sounds good to me.
I don't mind sanding.

Okay, so this is an FYI to everyone here...last week when I was washing my car, I took one of those "wheel" magic erasers and went over my car in a few spots. Not a good idea! I didn't realize until a few days later that it made odd little spots on my car. No paint came off, but its not shiny. Must've been some clear coat. On a good note, it took the rust drip off! The inside bottom of my front two doors are a little rusted, and so made rust streaks. But they're gone now. lol

You'll have to keep checking the site for a Detail Day so you can get those buffed out. No biggie to fix, but I'm sure you see them since you know where they are.

What's a detail day consist of? A meet to clean cars? Sounds amazing!
