I saw a link to an article from some tech site on another forum I goto. I will try to dig it up. The Xbox version gets extra content but supposedly runs poorer. Although once it drops I am sure there will be a plethora of comparison articles.

For those wanting to know which version looks better, the edge goes to the PS3. The textures and framerate are comparable, but the PS3 has far less pop-in. The 360 has richer colors, but the PS3 has better anti-aliasing making it look a little cleaner. Because GTA IV can preload onto the PS3 hard drive, the in-game loads are faster. Don't worry Xbox owners, the load times are rarely more than 30 seconds and don't occur very often. The slight visual edge goes to PS3, but the 360 is no slouch. Either version will do you proud.

P.S. anybody know of a good store to buy a ps3 online for a good deal?

I dont have one in mind, but when I was looking I made sure to back check the site with a google search. I found a number of the sites with really low advertised prices ended up being scam sites. So, in the long run I coughed up the extra cash and bought it at Target.

I can use amazon at least they have free shipping and then I will be able to skip out on the sales tax wich will save me about $30. I know best buy has a deal that if you buy a ps3 and gtaiv they give you a free bluray remote but after tax it's still not the best deal and do I really need a bluray remote anyway?

Yeah, you dont need a remote. The controllers which are blu-tooth anyway work just fine, IMO.

I got mine when kmart had a %10 or something off coupon for anything in the store, so I got the 80gb ps3 100 dollars off, so $400 which was cheaper than my xbox360 elite hahah. You could check newegg, but make sure shipping isnt more than if it was tax in a store.

Some places have released it early...but it never happens in MN :( well...paper mario for the wii in duluth was out a day early.

Those places releasing it early are running a huge risk. If they are caught, I would imagine there are enormous fines to go along with it.

If you have a hard drive for your 360 (who doesn't?) there shouldn't be any load times.

Well, tonight is the big night. Stores will be opening at midnight for the early sales.

I believe that the feature to load the game into the HD is not available on 360 due to the fact that not all 360s have HDs. I could be wrong, let me know tonight when you cop the game.

I ordered mine on amazon to avoid the sales tax and they won't be shipping it till the 5th:riped: Oh well better late than never.

Meh, I will prolly just get mine at Target and pay full price. I dont have any lingering gift cards or deals. Oh well...
