Revenge of the Fallen = great visual effects, decent storyline, and Megan Fox - need i say more? If you liked the first movie then you will probably like this one too, it has all the typical BAYSPLOSIONS ;)

The Twins = the new Jar-Jar Binks
Wheelie - funny little bastard

watched Zack & Miri last night with Michele, thoroughly enjoyed it, had us both laughing and smiling the entire movie. Elisabeth Banks was damn cute too.

G.I. Joe- eeehhhh it was okay.
Cadillac Records-Was pretty good. The dude from Shaft did some excellent acting Mos Def was good when he was on screen. Beyonce is in it and is fine. My wife wants me to also say Adrian Brody's nose annoys her!

Pineapple Express - meh. I wanted to like it, and I thought I was going to like it, but it failed to deliver in a big way. There were a lot of funny moments, but I had pretty much checked out once it turned into a bad action movie in the second half. If you're a young pothead, you'll probably like it, because... well there's a lot of pot in the movie.

See I liked Pineapple Express, to me it was stupid stoner funny, with some funny peeps. Not my favorite, but I enjoyed it.

We saw District 9 this week finally, have to say that I actually enjoyed this quite a bit. The way it was filmed, the story, the ending, the constant pace for me tied it all together. Not your typical "movie" feel, but I think it was a nice change.

Oh, and James, if you enjoyed Ponyo, I'd highly recommend the rest of Miyazaki's movies (Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle, etc).
A lady I was talking to last weekend at the Longfellow Art Crawl also said the same, and they are more readily available due to the distribution deal the Japanese company made with Disney.

Princess Mononoke is my favorite Miyazaki film. It's got a very epic feeling to it.

MAD LIGHTS YO
lol, why was it bad?
because there is annoying elevator music throughout the whole movie. not to mention that since Matt is an informant, he's talking to the FBI through out the entire movie telling lies the entire time. you can never really figure out whats going on.

thats just my .02 on the movie

went to see Avatar and was completely blown out of the water. the Visuals were gorgeous - colors, the creatures themselves...this is something that has to be seen in 3D. you will not be disappointed.

Went to see Avatar, VERY COOL TO LOOK AT in 3D. Very predictable plot and you even get used to the visuals about 2 hours in. Wife, kid, and myself had about the same opinion. I slept in and out through the final hour (seriously). Worth your $10 bucks though.

(we went out of our way to see the movie in "DLP" in Apple Valley Carmike theater. The screan was chrystal clear (no "theather jaggy lines"), very nice.)
