Hot deal via CL:
Flurry Industries Dreadnought Vest
JT Alpha 2000 Mask

Both have clearly seen some use and need to be cleaned up a bit, but they were cheap.

Fields:

A quick directory of the fields around/near the metro area, I left off a couple that were speedball only, and also a few that are further away (st cloud, rochester, mankato, etc).

http://www.sfpgames.com/ - Buffalo MN, multiple outdoor fields, walk-on games some weekends, D-Day scenario w/ real boat landings and such. Allows you to bring your own paint.

http://www.splattag.com/ - Hudson WI, multiple outdoor fields (22 over 600 acres) walk on games available every week on multiple days, field paint required. $15 entry fee for open games, 2000 paintballs for $65, 500 for $20, free air.

http://www.mnpropaintball.com/ - Field located in Lakeville MN, open play on weekends, requires field paint $73 for 2000, $23.50 for 500

http://www.adventurezonepaintball.com/ - Rosemount MN has something like 6 different outdoor woodsball/scenario type fields, $18 walk on play, allows non-field paint for a $10 surcharge, 2000 standard paintballs for $45, 500 for $20, unlimited HPA fills for $5

Good link Dan, though it would require some additional research as I know at least a few listed on that site are no longer operating.

Also good call JT I forgot to link that one, that urban field looks awesome and I didn't notice they had woodsball the first time I glanced so that's cool.

Adventure zone looks pretty cool too, well they all do lol.

ansgear.com has the best prices and gear selection. we are sponsored by mnpro in lakevile. but to rate your best bang for your buck for fields mnpro splat tag adventurezone air assault. if there is any gear questions i can help you out.

I got my vest and mask cleaned up. The vest is in fine shape. I suppose it's hard to mess something like that up.

The mask is a bit rough though. The foam is kinda scratchy, it doesn't fit that well and the lens itself is pretty beaten up too. I don't think I'd want to spend much time using it. I'll be looking around for another, higher quality mask and probably keep this one as a backup.

Still, vest for $50 :notbad:

Schweet Dan!

And I heard good things about the Grillz from quite a few people living, I picked up an Empire E-Vents mask though, as well as Special Ops Broadsword Vest. Need to source some decent camo clothing then I should be pretty set at least till I get the gun and decide what changes I'm going to make to it, muhahahaha.

if you want good camo clothing go to CC military surplus they have good pants there. here is my setup

eventualy that jt proflex will be a DYE I4 dyecam, pants will be planet eclipse 2011 HDE pants and a new pod pack. i will warn you DO NOT BUY FROM VALKEN they are the worst company. i have had a product break and it still was under warranty and its been 2 months later after 4 emails havent heard back from them -_-.

Got the gun torn down and oiled up. It was pretty dang clean and seemed like it had been oiled recently, but I figured I should do it anyway just to be sure. I need to acquire a longer allen wrench to reinstall the front grip, but other than that things went smoothly.

Is there anywhere actually IN the cities that fills HPA tanks? I'd like to get one of my tanks filled so that I can make sure this thing works before I get out to a field and find out it doesn't. The CF tank had a small amount of pressure in it still (none read on the reg, but when I attached the remote line it started coming out), and when I hooked up the marker it was just hissing out of the barrel. Looking around, I bet it's just because there was almost no air left in the tank and I didn't cock it, but I'd love to make sure that's the case.

looks like you need to replace some O-rings, mnpro is the closest and adventure zone is to if your gona make a trip down to burnsville you should come stop by my appartment and ill help you with teching the gun for leaks. i also have a full HPA tank full of air if you want to save some money.

Check any scuba shops in your area (or near work also). A lot of them will fill HPA tanks (one in maple grove does for $5). If its as cheap or cheaper than MNPro that might be a better option for you.
