PIZZApalooza

See, it's restricting, but it's not. There are just as many ways to make a pizza as there are to prepare pork. AJ has the right idea... I'm expecting some really crazy stuff!

I'm a little afraid of what AJ's "deseret pizza" entails, but this sounds like a pretty cool event. I'm just wondering about the logistics. The last time I showed up at a party with roughly 20 frozen pizzas we ended up burning out the oven element. Anybody have any ideas on how to get this many pizzas baked in a fairly short period of time? Also, when is this happening?

No frozen or store bought pizzas allowed, must be your own creation. I suppose the idea of cooking them all at once does pose an issue though...

i assumed this would be like the last event, bring it already cooked and possibly pop them in the oven for a couple mins when you get there.

I can make 7 normal sized pizza at my house at one time :) 4 in the oven, 2 in the pizza maker and one in the convection oven :D

If we wanted outdoor, we could use BAG as well. Oven inside, grill for those who go that route, and any other plug in item that can be used. Then have some coolers outside for..... wait for it...... wait for it..... BEER! OMG, Beer & Pizza!

Also, I wouldn't suggest cooking more than one pizza in a regular oven at one time. You skew the time it takes to cook and none of these pizzas should share the same baking qualities. Every component dictates a different need for cooking time and temp. PLUS doing one or two at a time allows small samples to be had over the time frame and no one filling up too fast!

Outdoor Rock Band the same day?

We could probably bring the pizza oven and convection oven to help cook pizzas in. That is 3 pizzas :) I'm all for an otudoor style Poolza

I also have a pizza oven. Not sure how well it will work on home made pizza. I will test that and get back to you guys.

since joelle and erik hosted the last poolaza and aj offered up his place for pizzapooloza. how bout we do this either during/after tint day? then we have food during the event, especially if we only cook 2 pizzas at a time.

If you do that, then either you have to be sharing with everyone who shows up for tint day (not enough food) or you have to make them bring a pizza (not the purpose of tint day). I don't think this works.

I actually like the idea of tying in an event of one kind with an event of another kind. If people don't bring pizza, people don't GET pizza...makes it easy enough. And it does solve the menu on tint day, and it also solves the problem of trying to cook the pizzas fast enough for everyone to eat at the same time at a "pizzapalooza" event, because people are coming and going at different times at the tint event. Might be worth a little more discussion rather than a quick smackdown. Did AJ mention any other ideas for food that day? Seems like last year it was basically "I've got a grill if you wanna bring some stuffz, or there are a lot of places for food nearby."
