Slow and Low Mazda 3 build (Beware dialup users.....do people still use dialup???)

Started the front door speaker pods for some 6.5" midrange speakers.

All I have so far is the base for the pod, and a general design for the piece.

Here is what I am using to mount the speaker enclousure to the door panel.

Just have flatten them out first.

Holes drilled through the glass and door panel.

Then a few more layers of glass. Can't forget to tape the openings of the fasteners first though.

More pictures.

All that's left is....trim, body filler, sand, paint black, apply carbon fiber weave, resin, resin, resin, resin, resin, resin, sand clear......repeat for the other side.

Filler work is done. The speaker pod is just sitting on the door panel, so you get an idea of what it will look like. When bolted down, it will sit nice and tight with the door panel.

I've heard that from some other people. I just don't see how this would be tacky.

Sure some vinyl carbon print graphic could look tacky....bu this I think people are mistaken.
