PowerBoost supposedly is for the first 10 seconds or 20MB (or something along those lines) of a download, and the first like 5 seconds of an upload. At the beginning of the upload test I hover around 4Mbps, but after a couple seconds it drops back to about 2Mbps.
Yeah, thats insanely expensive for the speeds you're hitting. I pay less than that for Comcast broadband. We don't have Qwest for phone service here, and I would never do business with them given any choice in the matter (I've had BAD experiences with them). That said, I pay $48 a month for internet. When I get the new TV, I'll reshop for product.
I bet that stuff is highly cached by a comcast proxy server. I see sustained download speeds of about 8Mbit and upload speeds of 1Mbit here. How the hell are some of you comcast people getting 30mb/s??? Does that powerboost shit only work on residential accounts or something? My upload hovers at about 2mb/s for the first 3/4 of the test, then falls back to 1.
what are your computer specs slow3?
