I'M OFFENDED!
Yeah, the t4 would be a solid choice. I like the Traxxas unit as well, but it seems that the parts support for the T4 is second to none. I've gone to two different hobby stores so far, and i've basically been able to rebuild my truck from scratch piece by piece. They have frickin everything for those out there.

anyone else other than me fly planes?
I've got a RC plane almost ready to go (Josh has seen it). It's just itching to fly but I'll need some instruction initially.
It's a tower hobbies ARF w/ a nice size engine. I'll post a pic of it later today.

Just be careful on where you go fly it if it's a nitro engine...most cities don't allow you to fly gas powered planes at anywhere other than a designated r/c flying field.

I flew planes for 2-3 years before getting into Heli's...I've still got my old Parkzone Typhoon sitting in the closet that I've been thinking about ressurecting........

My buddy and I actually built a plane a few years back. We found a club near the hwy 169 and hwy 610 area in the NW metro.

The first time we flew the plane, the instructor didn't have the cable to link his Futaba radio to our Futaba radio so he stood closely by while training us to fly the thing. Well my buddy was doing good until his first turn and the plane dive bombed into a dirt field before the instructor could recover it. I was able to salvage the radio receiver but that's about it. So I'm getting close to finishing my 2nd plane but probably won't fly it until an instructor has the cable to link our radios.

parts are cheep and easy to find,it comes with some spairs, it can do slow loops and rolls.
its the perfect beginner plane and its still alot of fun after you get good at flying. i am planing on adding lipoly and brushless soon

Hay mr. GYG man, tell me some things. What do I need to consider about lipo Batteries? Do I need anything special? Am I gonna need a different charger?

I'm not sure what charger you have now, but you'll need a lipo-compatible charger...a very good choice would be the Duratrax Ice...

http://www.duratrax.com/caraccys/dtxp4170.html

Lipo's are great, as long as they're taken care of. You'll probably want to either get a speed control with voltage cutoff (3 volts per cell, so on a 2S pack, the cutoff would be 6 volts), or buy an add on cutoff for your existing speed control.

http://www.teamnovak.com/products/lipo_cutoff_module/index.html

Over discharging absolutely KILLS lipos, and once it's brought down too low, most times you might as well destroy the pack cause it's junk.

Over charging, or using a charger not meant for lipos can be disasterous...the packs can puff up, and ignite into a fireball! Crazy shit!!

Lipos are most definitely the future of electric r/c, and are awesome when used properly. They just require a little more care than standard batteries.

110 HP of FURY!
I'd much rather have a plane with 2 naked stewardesses in the cockpit. In the RC world, think that could be painted on the plane?
