Mafia 4 - Night 2, Deadline 10/7 9pm

This thread needs moar discussion.

As to whether or not to have a first-day lynch, I think that is an interesting discussion--maybe not from a practical standpoint, but there is probably some insight to be gained from how people are responding and positioning themselves on the subject. From a completely naiive standpoint, the odds are that you're going to lynch a townie on the first night, unless you have some fairly good evidence on someone.

Odds are you're going to lynch a townie no matter what happens, on any given day. Frankly, there are more town than there are scum, and scum has the advantage of being scum- they have no facts to find, other than if roles exist and if so, who has them, to take them out first. Hiding in the weeds is a good play on their part.

Right, which makes it all the more important that any lynch is as well-informed as possible, and why pushing to lynch without a good reason is probably a scummy tactic.

Pushing to lynch without reason IS a scummy tactic, but JT was actin' pretty scummy to me. Read my previous posts.

Because of that very reason. Game 1, Eddy called scum right out of the box. All of us thinking he was an idiot, we didn't lynch him. So of course, he turns out to be scum. Second game, same thing, same result. I suppose we could lynch Kris just to get him out of the way......but what purpose would that serve? We're still missing weigh ins from several people here, so it's probably a little early to determine what he's up to.

A little early? Haven't you already voted for JT?

Yep, But I did it for two reasons. A- to stir the pot. B- I still believe JT made a critical mistake back on page 1 or so.

Yes, a critical mistake trying to formulate strategies for town to win. I've established factual support for my proposed strategy and am leaving it at that. We have PLENTY of time to get more information and help make an informed decision over a random lynch, or others may decide on a no-lynch too. Nothing said so far has me swaying one side or the other and it sounds like most others are neutral (as of now) too. I'd like to hear more opinions on where people stand on the subject of voting (at this point for who and why) and I REALLY want Kris to answer this:

I stand by my previous reasoning that a person who calls scum is worth lynching. The only possible reason I can see for keeping them around is because (if they are town) scum is not going to knife them.

With JT and Tom, I see JT trying to defend his actions, and Tom giving reason on why his mistake would lead to him being scum. Honestly, both great actions by someone who is scum. Since we've established that scum knows each other, both can't be as they wouldn't be doing this back and forth shit, at least I don't see any reason why they would strategy wise. So which one is more likely scum...? I got to think Tom "could" be based on the fact he's more offensive than JTs defensive.

To be honest, if we lynch one of them and miss, day two could be the winning shot!

What reason would Town have to say this?
The scum have no reason to NK me if the town is content to lynch after 1 post, nor push for a lynch if the town decides to rally. Therefore the people least pushing for a lynch are most likely scum.

Take one for the team, as it were. Sort of an odd strategy, and not neccesarily one i'd support, but I suppose it makes some form of sense.

With 9 players alive, 5 votes are needed to lynch!

Deadline to vote: 9/26, 9pm.

If there isn't some more action soon, I'm probably going to extend the deadline...
