Right. There are certainly enough variations to keep a guy with that kind of cash busy forever. But that doesn't change the fact that he only specializes in one thing, were as guys like Leno, Tim Allen, and Steve McQueen like it all and work on them themselves. I saw an episode of Leno once where he invited Tim Allen on to have a burnout contest. Leno pulls a candy pink GnX pro street car out of the trailer, claiming it's the wife's car, and is "lightly" modified (This thing is wearing a chute, full 4 link/tubbed etc and gigantic Mickeys) Tim Allen answers with an old fox body stang prepped for Le Mans/road racing that has a full cage, Hoosiers the works, also claiming it's the wife's car, and "lightly" modified. The moral of the story being that on any given day, these guys have the means to bring any exotic they want to the table, and chose heavily modified "common" cars. That is the mark of a true car enthusiast if you ask me.
